ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, microscopes, indicators, comparators, and large number of various gages., • Operate touch probe/vision coordinate measuring machine (no programming required), • Inspect size, locations, surface finish, general appearance and any other necessary areas., • Ability to locate, diagnose and correct problems in equipment and systems utilizing test equipment and/or prior work experience., • Make judgement on the inspected part and seek approval of deviated parts., • Package parts to prevent damage during shipment., • Adhere to Company quality system requirements., • Comply with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to Oberg safety and security procedures., • Adhere to company policies and state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment, including promoting a workplace free of discrimination and harassment., • Inspectors who shall be performing “Final Inspection” of Aerospace products must pass company eye exam which will be included in the employment physical. (Note: depending on market segment employed (e.g. Aero), passing of eye exam (can be with corrections) may become a condition of employment., • Must be able to read and understand blueprints., • Must possess knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry., • Must have a working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Access and Excel., • Must be able to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication., • Must be able to understand written correspondence., • Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes and gloves., • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally., • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Previous hands-on experience in medical device or contract manufacturing or completion of related apprentice program or previous quality experience required., • 1 Year quality experience or 2 years manufacturing experience required.
