Project Summary & Overview Krasan Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage, retain, and grow strategic client relationships within Illinois state agencies, local government organizations, higher education institutions, and other public-sector entities. The Account Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting technology modernization initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with delivery teams, solution engineers, client representatives, and executive leadership to ensure successful execution of IT consulting, managed services, software solutions, digital transformation, and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, public-sector experience, and the ability to align client business objectives with Krasan's technology capabilities. Job Responsibilities Client Relationship Management: • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients., • Build and maintain long-term, trusted client relationships to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty., • Develop relationships with executive leadership, agency directors, procurement officials, program managers, and key stakeholders within Illinois public-sector organizations., • Conduct regular account reviews, strategic planning sessions, and performance updates., • Facilitate executive-level discussions regarding client objectives, challenges, and future initiatives., • Ensure contract compliance and quality service delivery. Account Growth and Strategy: • Identify upsell, cross-sell, renewal, and expansion opportunities aligned with client needs and strategic goals and share with Client Representatives for development., • Develop and maintain strategic account plans focused on client growth, retention, and long-term partnership development., • Collaborate with sales, delivery, and marketing teams to execute account growth strategies., • Support capture management activities for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and unsolicited proposals., • Identify opportunities within Illinois public-sector organizations for new Statements of Work and expanded service offerings., • Support business development efforts through relationship mapping, account intelligence gathering, and strategic planning. Solution Alignment: • Develop a strong understanding of client business objectives, operational challenges, and technology priorities., • Align Krasan's technology and consulting solutions with client business needs., • Facilitate discussions regarding IT modernization, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, digital transformation, compliance, and emerging technologies., • Collaborate with solution engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet client expectations and objectives. Operational Excellence: • Work closely with service delivery teams to ensure high-quality project execution and SLA performance., • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns., • Track and report on key performance indicators including client satisfaction, contract renewals, account growth, and revenue performance., • Ensure timely communication between clients and internal teams. Compliance and Contracts: • Maintain knowledge of public-sector procurement processes, contract requirements, and compliance standards., • Ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements., • Maintain familiarity with Illinois procurement requirements, contract vehicles, and public-sector purchasing processes., • Support contract renewals, amendments, and account-related compliance activities. Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, Business Development, Consulting, or related client-facing roles., • Proven experience managing complex client relationships and strategic accounts., • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills., • Ability to work effectively with executive, business, and technical stakeholders., • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills., • Understanding of IT services, managed services, software solutions, cloud computing, cybersecurity, application development, or digital transformation initiatives., • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams. Preferred Qualifications: • Illinois Public Sector experience preferred., • Information Technology (IT) industry experience preferred., • Experience working with Illinois state agencies, constitutional offices, municipalities, counties, higher education institutions, or other public-sector organizations preferred., • Experience supporting public-sector procurement, contracting, and vendor management activities preferred., • Familiarity with Illinois procurement processes and government purchasing practices preferred., • Experience supporting RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and proposal development activities preferred., • Experience managing large public-sector or enterprise accounts preferred., • PMP, ITIL, or similar certifications are a plus., • Familiarity with strategic technology trends, including AI, cloud services, low-code platforms, cybersecurity, and digital citizen experience initiatives, is a plus., • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Pipedrive and/ or ClickUp.
