At CESO, the Architect supports the building design effort from start to finish and assists the production of building construction documents and specifications in accordance with laws, regulations, Company and client standards. The Architect is responsible for ensuring that the documents and design are complete to meet code, constructability, and client scope. Primary Responsibilities • Assist team members by providing technical direction, including but not limited to, building code assessment, life safety code assessment, and overall building construction typology and detailing., • Assist Team Leads and project leadership in the design and production of architectural projects from preparation of design concepts and development, construction documentation, to include specifications, materials, color, and equipment as required by the project scope., • Oversee production and technical delivery of a project from start to finish, assisting/supplementing Designer-level staff with the production of all relevant documentation as applicable to the scope of the project., • Apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions for building construction projects., • Assist the Team Lead in the Quality Assurance process through review and redlining of drawings and documents produced by others throughout the course of the project, and coordinate with the Quality Control reviewer(s) to ensure document updates and corrections are completed., • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet project deadlines., • Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements, • Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field is required., • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture is required., • Registered Architect (RA) licensure is required., • NCARB Certification is preferred., • Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite., • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Revit, and/or AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam Revu. Job Description Job Summary: The contractor shall provide engineering support for new and ongoing projects The contractor shall have the experience and expertise to independently execute and shall perform the following tasks: Essential Duties: • Apply knowledge of and expertise in DoD, USAF, and common engineering and scientific principles, criteria, and procedures to improve planned and existing USAF and joint service weapon system manufacture, operations, re-manufacture and de-militarization operations and oversight., • Assist in translating user requirements into system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment., • Assist with the development of requirements and technology needs into action plans and policies necessary to improve and retain world class manufacturing, operations, re-manufacturing, and de-militarization of weapon system capabilities., • Perform technical/mission analyses of existing and potential operational requirements, assists in developing system concepts and performs technological and trade-off study assessments of proposed designs., • Develop and review the overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability requirements)., • Assist with developmental planning support in the evaluation of military missions to be accomplished and related requirements documentation including defining the set of military missions to be performed., • Review and analyze proposals, including regulatory and other policy driver changes or proposed modifications for design feasibility and system compatibility., • Review specifications, including system, system segment, and equipment specifications, and interface control documents involved in programs., • Support and conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, lifecycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical, and schedule risk assessment and scheduling trade-off studies. • Support and conduct systems analyses to include, but not limited to, system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessment., • Support the development and evaluation of IMP, IMS, and Systems Engineering Detail Schedule engineering cost estimates., • Evaluate systems test plans and Test and Evaluation Master Plans and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing., • Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment., • Support weapons systems lifecycle including, but not limited to, analysis of alternatives, creation of investment strategies, manufacturing, support, and end-of-life processes., • Teach learning modules within AT courses to industry and government participants and assist in curriculum development, as required., • Lead creation (technical writing) and maintenance of multiple collateral and SAP SCGs., • Be responsible for staffing and coordination with multiple DoD service and industry security, technical, financial, and contracting working groups to review and adjudicate SCG feedback comments for approval of the SCGs. • Staff and publish SCGs to support the entire DoD AT community., • Provide additional support, under optional position as needed for transition or other expertise. Education: • MS/MA or higher in a relevant engineering discipline., • In lieu of the MS/MA or higher in a relevant engineering discipline, a BS in a relevant engineering discipline and a MS/MA or higher, or an equivalent professional degree. An engineering technology degree does not meet this requirement. Experience: • Minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant work experience with the DoD or other government agencies or DoD contractors., • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an SAP environment within the last five (5) years. The projected salary range for this position is $140,000-$175,000 and is based on experience and contractual requirements. However, this is not a guarantee of salary.
