Job Description Position Overview: The Kamson Corporation, a premier apartment management organization, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior property accounting professional to join our well-established executive finance team. This role is designed as a succession opportunity, with the selected candidate expected to grow into the CFO position over the coming years. You will work directly with our CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller to manage the company's financial operations, tax compliance, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, and financial reporting, • Prepare and review federal and state 1065 partnership tax returns (required), • Review financial statements and work prepared by staff accountants, • Coordinate with external auditors and taxing authorities, • Participate in special projects such as budgeting, new property acquisitions and new ERP transition, • Support executive leadership and contribute to long-term financial planning, • CPA license (required), • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting with strong 1065 tax return preparation experience, • Proficient in tax and financial reporting software, • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, • Long-term succession opportunity in a stable, 50-year-old, privately owned company, • Collaborative and seasoned finance team, • Exposure to complex and varied accounting tasks
