Experience the charm of Charleston while providing exceptional patient care in one of South Carolina's leading healthcare facilities.\n \n\nPCU RN Job Details\n\n • Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)\n, • Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Magnet Hospital\n, • Unit: 22-bed intermediate PCU/medical-surgical unit specializing in transplant, nephrology, and urology patients\n, • Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract\n, • Start Date: December 8, 2025\n, • End Date: March 9, 2026\n, • Duration: 13 weeks\n, • Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend and holiday rotation required\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,570 - $1,610 per week\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:3 or 1:4 (night shift)\n, • Charting System: EPIC\n, • Scrub Colors: Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms\n\n\nPCU Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN License (must be issued/active before start)\n, • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or acute care nursing experience\n, • Required Certifications (AHA only): ACLS, BLS, NIHSS\n, • Clinical skills: blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), rapid response/code team participation, computerized documentation\n, • Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n, • Availability for every other weekend and holiday rotation\n\n\nPCU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including pre- and post-transplant (liver, kidney, kidney/pancreas), nephrology, and urology patients\n, • Monitor and manage patients in stepdown and telemetry settings, including bedside monitors and arterial lines\n, • Administer blood products and cardiac/vasoactive drips; respond to rapid response/code situations\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care\n, • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC\n, • Follow infection control and isolation precautions\n, • Participate in transplant-specific education and become proficient in peritoneal dialysis within 6 months\n We believe in empowering your career.
