The Role At Donorbox, the Director of Finance plays a critical role in scaling our financial rigor, strengthening decision-making, and driving strategic growth. You'll oversee all forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning, while developing deep insight into our product, business and revenue engines, customer segments, and nonprofit industry dynamics. This is a senior, high-impact, hands-on role: you'll build and own our bottoms-up financial model, mature our FP&A function, and serve as a strategic partner across the company. This role reports to our Director of Operations and will work closely with and receive ongoing mentorship from our highly-experienced Business & CFO Advisor. You'll also partner closely with our Senior Accountant, who owns Accounting processes and monthly close, ensuring alignment between FP&A outputs and financial statements. This role offers significant professional growth and the opportunity to help structure and scale our Finance organization. Responsibilities 1. Financial Strategy & Modeling • Build and own Donorbox's comprehensive, driver-based financial model, including revenue, headcount, operating expenses, cash flow, margin structure, and SaaS KPIs., • Develop the annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, board-ready financial materials, and long-range strategic planning model., • Maintain scenario-based forecasting tools that support leadership decisions on investments, hiring, product roadmap, and growth initiatives. 2. FP&A Ownership • Lead monthly financial reporting, including revenue performance, budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and actionable insights., • Implement and maintain dashboards tracking core SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, payback period, churn, retention, cohorts)., • Partner with department leaders to forecast and analyze cost centers across GTM, R&D, Customer Support, and Operations., • Build operating cadence and financial discipline across the business, ensuring teams understand and use financial insights to achieve their respective goals. 3. Pricing, GTM & Sales Support • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product to evaluate pricing and packaging, including donor-processing economics, tiers, and enterprise deals., • Support Sales leadership with revenue forecasting, pipeline conversion analysis, discounting guidance, and deal profitability., • Conduct ROI analyses for marketing programs, campaign performance, GTM tooling, and product initiatives. 4. Strategic Finance & Business Partnering • Collaborate with the Director of Operations, Business & CFO Advisor, and senior leadership team to evaluate strategic opportunities and build business cases., • Analyze new feature economics, product roadmap investments, platform enhancements, and market expansion opportunities., • Build models to support decisions around infrastructure investments, headcount allocation, partnerships, and new revenue streams. 5. Cash Management & Treasury Support • Build and maintain rolling 13-week cash forecasts and long-term liquidity models., • Support leadership with risk management, vendor evaluation, and capital allocation planning. 6. Finance + Accounting Collaboration • Partner closely with the Senior Accountant on monthly close, revenue recognition, billing, and financial statements., • Ensure alignment between FP&A models and accounting outputs., • Provide reporting and data support to strengthen accounting processes and financial accuracy. 7.
