Job Description Position Summary Nokturnal AI is seeking a highly motivated IT Systems Administrator to own day-to-day IT operations at our Clearwater headquarters. Reporting to our remote IT & Security Consultant, you'll play a critical role in building and scaling our IT infrastructure while supporting engineers, business operations, and company growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments, enjoys solving technical problems, and takes pride in creating efficient, scalable systems. You'll serve as the primary on-site IT resource while helping implement new technologies, improve processes, and support cybersecurity initiatives. What You'll Do IT Support & Administration • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests across the organization., • Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, software, networking, printers, and peripheral issues., • Perform password resets, MFA troubleshooting, account recovery, and software support., • Escalate complex issues with thorough documentation. User Lifecycle Management • Provision new employees in Microsoft Entra ID., • Configure Intune and Windows Autopilot deployments., • Prepare, ship, and track company equipment., • Execute employee offboarding, including:, • Account deactivation, • License recovery, • Device wipe and recovery, • Asset documentation Endpoint & Device Management • Administer Microsoft Intune, including:, • Device enrollment, • Compliance policies, • Application deployment, • Windows updates, • Driver management, • Maintain endpoint security and compliance. Microsoft 365 Administration • Manage:, • Entra ID users, • Security groups, • Licensing, • Access requests, • Assist with identity and access management initiatives. Infrastructure & Hardware • Receive, image, deploy, and inventory:, • Workstations, • Laptops, • Monitors, • Docking stations, • Printers, • NAS devices, • Network equipment, • Assist with:, • Network cabling, • Switch installations, • Wi-Fi deployments, • Server room organization, • Infrastructure expansion Physical Security Systems • Administer badge access systems., • Issue employee credentials., • Configure access levels., • Troubleshoot readers and controllers. Asset & Documentation Management • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories., • Update SharePoint documentation and tracking systems., • Create and improve technical documentation and standard operating procedures. Vendor Coordination • Coordinate with vendors regarding:, • Hardware procurement, • Software licensing, • Internet service, • Warranty claims, • Support tickets, • Equipment installations Engineering Support Provide advanced technical support beyond traditional help desk responsibilities, including: • High-performance workstation builds, • Linux imaging, • GPU driver troubleshooting, • CAD and simulation software support, • Specialized engineering equipment AI Infrastructure Learn to deploy and support: • GPU servers, • Offline AI model infrastructure, • Local LLM environments, • Engineering radio network servers Training and mentorship will be provided. Cybersecurity & Compliance Support the IT & Security Lead by assisting with: • CMMC Level 2 preparation, • NIST 800-171 documentation, • Evidence collection, • Security control implementation, • Audit readiness Required Qualifications • 2–4 years of hands-on IT support or junior systems administration experience, • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), • Experience with Microsoft Intune or strong Windows administration skills with the ability to quickly learn Intune, • Experience imaging and deploying Windows workstations, • Familiarity with basic networking, including switches, cabling, wireless networking, and peripherals, • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Excellent customer service skills with both technical and non-technical users, • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, • Comfortable working independently with remote leadership, • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, • Startup mindset with a willingness to build new processes and systems, • Extreme ownership mentality with the initiative to identify problems and drive solutions, • Genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence and emerging technologies Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting NIST 800-171, CMMC, or other regulated environments, • Microsoft Autopilot experience, • Apple Business Manager or mobile device management experience, • Experience with Rippling or HRIS-driven identity provisioning, • Vendor management experience, • Linux administration experience, • GPU hardware experience, • Local/offline AI model deployment (Ollama, llama.cpp, vLLM, etc.), • Experience supporting RF equipment or specialized networking environments, • CAD software support (SolidWorks or similar), • Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing organizations, • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft MD-102, MS-102, or equivalent certificationsCompany DescriptionNokturnal AI is an advanced technology company focused on developing cutting-edge systems in aerospace, AI/ML, and defense-related integration.
