Supporting our customers with expert guidance and seamless service is equally critical.Website: Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at Sunland Nutrition, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our B2B customers across the food, beverage, and nutraceutical industries. You will support customers throughout the full-service cycle — including consultation, pre-sales, order processing, during-sales coordination, and post-sales support — covering product selection, technical inquiries, order management, and formulation-related questions. Your goal is to ensure every customer interaction is clear, responsive, and confidence-building. This is a mission-critical role. You will help customers navigate ingredient specifications, documentation, regulatory considerations, and supply planning, while representing Sunland Nutrition with professionalism, accuracy, and a customer-first mindset. Each interaction is an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, build long-term trust, and support successful raw ingredient sourcing and product development. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to learn ingredient knowledge quickly, and proactive, customer-centric problem-solving. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Technical, QA/QC, Purchasing, and Warehouse, to deliver seamless, efficient, and high-quality customer experience from inquiry through fulfillment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls, emails, and chats from customers, • Assist B2B customers with orders, returns, exchanges, product specifications, formulations, and technical inquiries, • Ensure every customer feels heard, valued, and confident in their decisions, • Provide clear explanations of ingredients, product applications, and regulatory information, • Proactively identify and resolve customer issues using a customer-centric approach., • Coordinate with quality control, warehouse, logistics, and sales teams regarding fulfillment, returns,, • defective products, and order tracking, • Recommend improvements to processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction, • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product portfolio, regulatory requirements Qualifications and Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher required, • Preferred Majors: Food Science, Nutrition, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields, • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in B2B customer service, technical support, quality control, or sales support in food, beverage, or nutraceutical ingredients is highly desirable, • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and/or Mandarin is a plus, • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM systems, • Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and negotiation skills; strong follow-through and customer engagement abilities, • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills; able to apply a customer-centric approach to resolving issues, • Industry Knowledge: Ability to quickly understand ingredient specifications, applications, formulations, and related technical considerations, • Interpersonal Skills: Professional demeanor with natural empathy; ability to interact effectively with Purchasing, QA/QC, R&D, and other cross-functional teams, • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, team-oriented, adaptable, follow-through, and committed to providing excellent customer service Work Environment Indoor, temperature-controlled office environment Moderate noise level Collaborative, team-oriented culture Work Location: On-site, Aliso Viejo, California Company DescriptionSunland Nutrition Inc. is an industry trusted innovative source of raw materials in the Nutraceutical, Sports Nutrition, Food and Beverage, Personal Care, and Feed marketplace.
