Machine Operator Job Title: Machine Operator Work Location: De Pere Location Division/Department: Door Department Reports To: Door Assembly Supervisor Full-time Nonexempt Position Summary: As a Machine Operator, you will operate and monitor multiple machines, including the Edge Bander, Nested CNC Router, and Veneer Sander. This role also involves completing stack lists using a forklift. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective multitasking skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Production Planning and Execution, • Oversee daily production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders., • Operate machines to ensure efficient and continuous production, • Set up, adjust, and operate machines according to specifications and production requirements, • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on machines and equipment, • Ensure all work meets quality standards and production goals, • Operate a forklift to transport materials, pallets, and finished goods within the facility, • Implement and maintain production standards to achieve operational excellence., • Quality Assurance, • Enforce quality control measures to guarantee the production of high-quality custom cabinetry material., • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process., • Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent re-occurrences., • Operational Support, • Maintain tooling catalog and material inventory, • Personnel Management, • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times., • Review and conduct performance evaluations for team members., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment., • Experience working with wood as a primary raw material is highly desirable., • Ability to operate multiple machines efficiently, • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, • Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines, • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards., • Well-organized, highly motivated, with the ability to multitask., • Proficient in leading a team, distributing work, and show demonstrated leadership capabilities., • Thoroughness and attention to detail in completing work., • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following: • Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms., • Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds., • Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity., • Work for extended periods of time at a workstation on a computer or similar device., • Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas., • Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust.
