Quality Technician Compensation: • Competitive, experience-based wage, • Medical insurance, • Dental, • Vision, • 401(k) with employer match, • PTO, • Holiday pay, • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, • Associate degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in a field like quality or manufacturing, • Ability to travel 25–50%, including drives up to 5 hours and occasional long-distance trips, • High technology proficiency, ability to type 35+ wpm, and the ability to learn new applications and approaches, • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and promptly address concerns, • Ability to analyze data and trends to solve problems, make decisions, and implement effective solutions, • Ability to work independently, set your own goals, and manage your time efficiently, • Ability to read tape measures and digital calipers, • Clear and professional verbal/written communication skills, • Intermediate Microsoft skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), • Knowledge of RCA techniques, • Experience with internal auditing for ISO-9001 or comparable QMS systems, • Quality control/Lean/Six Sigma certifications, • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015, • Knowledge of PPAP, SPC, flow charts, control plans, and FMEA creation and revision, • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or similar preferred), • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions, • Experience participating in or supporting internal or external audits, • Experience with inspection tools, gages, or basic metrology At Transmotion, we're proud to be part of the Value Added Companies (VAC) family, alongside Value Added Distributors, Bent Tubes, and LTL Supply, whose history dates back to 1995. Our Quality Technician is involved throughout the production process and travels to multiple facilities to make sure all safety rules and quality control protocols are followed. You'll identify issues, track recurring problems, and take steps to improve our production operations. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: • Performing walkthroughs at various manufacturing facilities and inspecting products to ensure conformity, • Using calipers, coordinate-measuring machines (CMM), and gauges to conduct dimensional inspections, • Verifying the conformance of incoming materials, documenting nonconformities, and maintaining traceability documentation, • Tracking noncomformities and recording corrective actions, investigations, and resolutions, • Creating and maintaining quality-related forms, PPAP documentation, and performance indicator data reports (PPM, OTD, COQ, etc.), • Interpreting customer drawings and specifications, • Serving as a good example for the team and participating in training to learn how to conduct internal ISO 9001 audits, • Overseeing metrology devices, coordinating calibrations, and maintaining calibration records, • Performing routine laboratory fluid-cleanliness testing with laser particle analysis and microscopic inspection systems
