We are looking for a talented Information Technology Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA and help drive our technical vision forward. THIS IS AN ON SITE/IN PERSON POSITION IN SAN DIEGO, CA 92127. • Competitive Salary Range: $130,000-$155,000 per year DOE The Opportunity The Information Technology Operations Manager is a primarily hands-on execution role and is responsible for the day-to-day aspects of IT infrastructure, security, and operations to support the company’s SaaS environment. This role involves managing technology projects, maintaining system performance, ensuring compliance with security standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business objectives. What We Offer • Competitive salary range: $130,000-$155,000 per year DOE, • Collaborative and innovative work environment, • Opportunities for professional growth and development, • Work with cutting-edge technologies, • 401K Retirement with a generous 6% employer match – 100% vested immediately, • Medical Coverage (HMO & PPO options) – 100% paid by employer for you, spouse, and children, • Employer-paid life insurance, • Dental and Vision coverage, • Vacation Hours, • Paid Holidays, • Sick Leave, • Wellness Program including weekly chair massage and in-office gym, • Training and advancement opportunities, • Company-provided daily office snacks, • Dog-friendly office What you will do: Security & Risk Management • Own and continuously enhance the company’s IT security posture, including endpoint protection, email security, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, • Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis, • Design and enforce data protection strategies, including DLP policies, access controls, and regulatory compliance alignment, • Manage and optimize on-prem and virtualized infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability, • Oversee Windows server environments, system patching, and lifecycle management, • Administer DNS, network services, and core infrastructure components supporting business-critical applications, • Architect, configure, and maintain secure network environments, including firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation strategies, • Manage and support Cisco network infrastructure (ASA, Firepower, Catalyst switches) across multiple sites, • Own and execute backup and recovery strategies using tools such as Veeam, ensuring data integrity and availability, • Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, • Partner with Engineering (Development & QA) to support system reliability, deployments, and incident response, • Serve as a technical escalation point and backup resource for critical system issues, • Lead IT initiatives to modernize infrastructure, improve security, and support business growth, • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and performance, • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance, • Oversee IT budget, balancing cost optimization with operational needs and risk mitigation, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including network diagrams and architecture, • Establish and improve IT processes, standards, and best practices, • Act as the primary IT advisor to leadership, aligning technology decisions with business goals, • Provide input into long-term technology planning and company growth strategy, • Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations and evolving technology needs Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, • Equivalent combination of hands-on experience and technical leadership will be considered Technical Expertise (Must Have) Strong knowledge of: • Windows Server environments and system administration, • Network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation, • Endpoint security, email security, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, • Backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam), • Hands-on experience with:, • Cisco networking (ASA, Firepower, Catalyst or similar enterprise networking), • Virtualization platforms and infrastructure management, • DNS, networking protocols, and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues, • Experience implementing or managing:, • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and security controls, • Patch management and vulnerability remediation processes, • Experience supporting SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks (highly preferred), • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL); (highly preferred), • Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS) is a plus; (highly preferred) Work Experience: • 7–10+ years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on infrastructure, networking, and security ownership, • Proven experience in a SaaS or high-availability environment, supporting business-critical systems, • Demonstrated success owning IT operations end-to-end (not just participating), including security, uptime, and incident response, • Experience partnering with Engineering (Dev/QA) teams to support deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability, • Strong background in incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning, • Experience managing multi-site network environments and secure infrastructure, • Proficient in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budgeting., • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams., • Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment., • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, CISSP, ITIL) are highly desirable., • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Work Schedule & Location • Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with 1-hour lunch break, • On-site position in San Diego, CA 92127 Physical Requirements • This position primarily involves computer work in an office environment and may occasionally require lifting/moving items up to 50 pounds.
