Job Description Production Worker - Night Shift Job Description The Cleanroom Assembler operates and maintains small production equipment in a controlled cleanroom environment to produce high-quality medical device products. This role focuses on small component assembly under a microscope, light soldering, and precise inspection of parts while following detailed documentation, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, and quality assurance procedures. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Responsibilities • Operate and maintain small production equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products., • Perform small component assembly under a microscope, including light soldering and detailed hand work., • Carry out component assembly, inspection, and related production duties in accordance with established procedures., • Meet all documentation requirements for the production process, including filing paperwork and associating documents with assemblies and products., • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow cleanroom protocols at all times., • Become proficient in all production processes for spherz products, including forming, cutting, punching, assembly, packaging, and sealing., • Complete all production processes in alignment with established documentation requirements and GMP standards., • Inspect, evaluate, and accept products consistent with documented quality assurance standards and procedures., • Work with robotics and other production equipment in the cleanroom to support component assembly and manufacturing operations., • Read and interpret blueprints and production documentation to perform accurate assembly tasks., • Collaborate effectively with team members while contributing to a positive and productive work rhythm., • Work independently and remain productive without direct supervision, maintaining high performance and work quality. Essential Skills • Experience in assembly, production, machine operation, or general manufacturing, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with small components., • Excellent manual and hand dexterity for fine component assembly and deburring tasks., • Ability to perform small component assembly under a microscope and conduct light soldering work., • Capability to inspect products and follow documented quality assurance standards and procedures., • Proficiency in handling documentation, including filing paperwork and associating documents with assemblies and products., • Ability to read and understand blueprints and follow detailed work instructions., • Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and adhering to GMP regulations and cleanroom protocols., • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with robotics machines and production equipment., • Capacity to work independently, stay focused, and maintain productivity without constant supervision., • Strong work ethic and reliability to contribute positively to a cohesive, hardworking team. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Background as a production operator, machine operator, assembler, or in general manufacturing., • Experience with medical device manufacturing or medical assembly processes., • Familiarity with cleanroom operations and production equipment in a regulated environment., • Knowledge of packaging machinery and sealing processes., • Understanding of IPC and J-STD standards related to soldering and electronic assembly., • Ability to perform deburring and fine finishing tasks on components., • Experience using microscopes for inspection and assembly work., • Comfort working with radiation cages, surgical needles, or other precision medical products., • Strong interpersonal skills to integrate smoothly into a team that values collaboration and a consistent work rhythm. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility with an expanded cleanroom and warehouse space. You work in a regulated cleanroom environment and are expected to learn and adhere to GMP regulations and cleanroom protocols. The site manufactures medical devices for hospitals and surgical centers, including spherz used in MRI procedures to assist neurosurgery, surgical needles for bone operations, and radiation cages for cancer patients. The standard schedule is third shift, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with initial training on first shift for one to two weeks at flexible hours between 5:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. You will regularly use microscopes, robotics machines, production equipment, and packaging machinery in a professional, organized, and safety-focused environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OWINGS MILLS, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
