We are now seeking a National Business Development Director to lead Frontline Insourcing through its next phase of growth, transitioning from grassroots to a major player in the industry. This is an exciting opportunity to introduce new services, cultivate stronger relationships with NHS Trusts, and secure directly awarded call-off contracts through the frameworks we’ve established, leveraging your established NHS network. Role Overview As the National Business Development Director, you will take full ownership of leading our business development strategy to secure direct award contracts and expand our national presence within the NHS insourcing sector. This is a strategic leadership role, where you will independently drive the identification, negotiation, and conversion of high-value business opportunities, leveraging your extensive NHS network, deep understanding of procurement frameworks, and well-established industry relationships. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the sales strategy to ensure it aligns with NHS priorities, while maximising revenue and market share through NHS frameworks. Initially, you will lead this effort solo, with the support of the Board, management, and the directorship. As the business continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to build and scale a team around you, taking Frontline Insourcing to new heights. Key Responsibilities • Lead the national business development strategy, driving the expansion of our insourcing service portfolio across NHS Trusts throughout the UK., • Leverage and expand your established NHS network, fostering and maintaining influential relationships with key decision-makers across procurement, operations, and clinical services., • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through NHS framework agreements, direct awards, and targeted tenders, positioning Frontline Insourcing as the partner of choice., • Convert leads into high-value contracts, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal teams for flawless transitions and exceptional service delivery post-sale., • Develop and execute strategic growth plans that align with business objectives, driving measurable impact and revenue growth., • Collaborate with senior leadership and service delivery teams to create customised, value-driven solutions that directly address NHS Trusts' evolving needs., • Provide the Board with comprehensive reports on pipeline progress, market intelligence, and performance metrics, ensuring informed decision-making at all levels., • Represent Frontline Insourcing at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, strengthening our presence and reputation in the NHS sector. Ideal Candidate Profile • Proven experience in business development or sales management within the NHS insourcing or healthcare sector, or an NHS Director/Senior Leader with an extensive network to open doors and secure directly awarded insourcing service contracts., • Extensive network of NHS procurement and service leads, clinical directors, and senior operational executives within NHS Trusts., • Experience with framework agreements and the ability to navigate NHS procurement processes, direct award contracts, and tendering., • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to convert relationships into actionable business., • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close high-value contracts., • Resilient and results-driven, with the ability to work autonomously and manage complex sales cycles., • A deep understanding of NHS priorities and the operational, financial, and clinical challenges they face, particularly in reducing waiting lists and enhancing service capacity, coupled with a solution-oriented mindset to confidently introduce and propose innovative solutions and actionable plans that directly address these challenges. Salary & Commission Structure Base Salary: • £70,000 to £90,000, based on experience and qualifications. On Target Earnings (OTE): • Uncapped Commission – Performance linked commission structure based on direct award generation and overall contract value., • OTE will typically exceed £130,000, with the potential for significantly higher earnings depending on performance. Incentive Structure: • 10% Commission on contract value secured, with potential accelerators based on contract volume and size., • Additional bonus incentives tied to annual revenue targets and direct award milestones.
