We are now inviting applications from experienced CNC Machinists across multiple disciplines to join their well-established Glasgow centre of excellence. Disciplines Were Recruiting For CNC Turning CNC Milling (5-Axis & Horizontal) CNC Grinding The Role CNC Machinist As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components using advanced CNC machinery. Working to tight tolerances and engineering drawings, youll ensure each part meets strict customer and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and oversee CNC machinery according to job specifications Load materials and safely unload finished components Adjust offsets, speeds, and cutter paths as required Interpret technical and engineering drawings Work to tight tolerances and critical quality standards Follow company processes, work instructions, and safety procedures Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs Carry out routine machine checks for mechanical or safety issues Ensure machines are adequately stocked with tools and materials Support wider production requirements during peak periods Qualifications & Experience Time-served CNC Machinist Experience with CNC Turning, Grinding, Horizontal Milling, or 5-Axis Milling Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings Proven background producing precision components Strong understanding of safety protocols and manufacturing procedures Skills & Behaviours High attention to detail and commitment to quality Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to follow processes with consistency and precision Safety-focused with a proactive approach Pay & Shift Information Basic Pay Rate (Skilled Operator): £22.01 per hour Shift Allowances: Dayshift / Early shift 0% Rotating Early/Late 10% Backshift only 10% 3 Shifts (Early, Back, Night) 25% Backshift/Nightshift 25% Nightshift only 25% Most CNC Machinists will work on a 3-shift rotation (Early / Back / Night), attracting a 25% shift allowance.
