Job Overview: The Finance Manager will oversee the financial reporting and strategic financial management of our service businesses—Airedale technical care, Flowrite, and Network. This role combines financial control responsibilities with a strong Finance Business Partnering approach, enabling proactive decision support and collaboration with operational leadership. The Finance Manager will work in accordance with the Airedale Finance Manual (FAM), ensuring that all financial activities align with its standards, while also driving business performance through insight, challenge, and commercial acumen. Details: • This role can be located at either our Bradford or Halesowen offices, • competitive salary, • 23 days annual leave, increasing to 26 days with LOS, • Westfield private health insurance and health cash plan, • Retail discounts, • Life assurance Key Responsibilities: • Lead the management accounting and reporting function across three subsidiary businesses, • Review and manage financial statements, month-end and year-end accounts, and statutory reports in accordance with company policies, • Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data., • Support the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit documentation., • Conduct variance analysis and financial reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies., • Oversee internal audits and risk management assessments in line with company protocols., • Act as a strategic business partner to operational and commercial leaders across the three business units, helping to drive informed business decisions., • Translate financial data into actionable insights to support business planning, pricing strategies, capital investment decisions, and operational improvements., • Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts, challenging assumptions, and highlighting risks and opportunities., • Provide financial guidance on new initiatives to ensure profitability and sustainability., • Present meaningful financial analysis and commentary, supporting decision-makers in understanding financial impacts., • Foster a culture of financial accountability and commercial thinking throughout the service business units., • Identify and implement process improvements Experience Required: • ACCA or CIMA Qualified., • Strong technical understanding of financial reporting standards and management accounting principles., • Demonstrable experience driving financial governance, controls, best practices, and efficient month-end processes., • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders across the business., • Advanced MI reporting skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data., • Previous leadership experience with the ability to mentor, develop, and upskill wider team members., • At least two years’ experience in a similar finance or management accounting position.
