Our client, a leading manufacturer in West Yorkshire are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the business on a permanent basis due to continued growth.The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Project Management within a fast paced manufacturing environment , with the ability to take see a project from Cradle to Gravewhile being able to engage with all stakeholders.Candidates will be required to oversee all aspects of the projects from Purchasing/Planning/Manufacturing/Shipping. Ideally candidates will have experience working within a Manufacturing Engineering/ Assembly based environment - Exposure to HVAC/ Air Containment industry would be highly advantageous. Experience in leading a team and mentoring junior is staff is a must for this. Hours - 0830 1700 Monday to Thursday, 0830 1630 on Fridays This role is available for an immediate start and is based on site 5 days per week in West Yorkshire Role comes with a generous package and Company Car/ Allowance Responsibilities Take ownership of a project from the point of customer order and manage it through to completion. This will typically involve design, manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning phases. Produce detailed programmes of work and chair regular meetings with external customers and internal stakeholders to ensure all deadlines are met. Liaise with customers to understand any changes to their requirements and then convey them to our Technical / CAD departments to enable design / drawing revisions. Undertake thorough site surveys, obtaining information to enable detailed design work by our Technical / CAD departments. Once this has been done, return to site and prove our drawings prior to commencing manufacture. Communicate with our production and procurement departments to monitor progress and control costs through the project to ensure it is delivered on time and within budget, submitting regular financial and progress reports. Write detailed site-specific risk assessments and method statements, ensuring compliance with all necessary Health & Safety legislation. Manage our own installation teams and sub-contractors, attending site as required to monitor the quality and progress of our installations and obtain final sign-off / acceptance of our work. Submit interim project valuations, payment applications and invoice claims. Monitor and control change requests, submit pricing as required and obtain variation instructions from customers. Identify non-conformances, record them on our database and be proactive with leading lessons learned meetings / discussions to avoid recurrence. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Demonstrable experience in project management and streamlining projects already in process.
