Key Responsibilities: Physical data gathering: Define and execute tire testing plans, including attending tire dyno , trailer sessions and track test. Tire Modeling: From multiple data set, perform tire modeling, focusing on mechanical and thermal performance. Simulation: Work with vehicle dynamics and simulation engineers closely to integrate tire performance insights and assist for proper correlation of the provided models. Track Characterization: Conduct track surface measurements and provide associated tire setup and performance strategies. Setup Recommendations: Provide car setup recommendations for test sessions, including camber, pressure, and toe specifications. Track Test Support: Manage tire sets, monitor wear patterns, and adjust tire pressure and temperature for optimal performance during development session. Performance Analysis: Analyze test data to identify improvement areas and ensure tire performance. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tire development, modeling and testing. Strong knowledge of tire dynamics, including mechanical and thermal behavior. Hands-on experience with vehicle and tire testing, and data acquisition tools. Proficiency in simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink and other simulation software.) Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for presenting technical findings. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Passionate about tire performance and vehicle dynamics. Professional proficiency in English. Preferred Skills: Experience in motorsport or high-performance automotive engineering. Familiarity with tire modeling tools and simulation software. Expertise in track surface analysis and its impact on tire behavior. Program Management Lead - Onsite Position Overview: As a Program Management Lead at GM Performance Power Units, you will lead the delivery of critical assemblies and systems for our high-performance motorsport and automotive programs. You will orchestrate complex projects from concept to track, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring that our power unit development meets the demanding pace and precision of elite motorsport. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and high-performance environment across all buildings, workshops, and trackside operations—supporting both the engineering and racing divisions. The ideal candidate has a robust background in facility operations—preferably within motorsports, automotive R&D, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing—and thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven setting. This position plays a vital role in safety compliance, sustainability, emergency management, and supporting the operational readiness of a brand-new Formula 1 team.
