You’ll be working on a variety of exciting and complex projects across multiple sectors – including residential, commercial, mixed-use and public buildings – helping to shape safe and sustainable built environments. 📍Location: Hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and attend site/client meetings. Ideally based in or near London or Manchester. What You’ll Be Doing: • Delivering bespoke, pragmatic, timely and responsive services to build long term client relationships., • Continuously developing your skills, knowledge, experience and behaviors to grow your competencies., • Developing fire strategies for new and existing buildings., • Conducting design reviews and developing performance based and code-compliant solutions., • Carrying out site inspections and preparing reports., • Liaising directly with design teams, clients, and approving authorities., • Supporting engineers across the team., • Contributing to the wider success of the business beyond project work. What We’re Looking For • A passion for learning, understanding, and applying codes and standards such as Approved Document B, BS 9991, BS 9999, BS 7974, and related guidance., • A fundamental understanding of, or desire to learn, performance based fire engineering principles and analysis methods such as CFD, evacuation modeling, radiant heat transfer, fire dynamics, etc., • A desire to meet and exceed client and team expectations, build long term relationships, and focus on the long term., • An ambition to be a rounded Fire Safety Engineer with an understanding of fire engineering principles, codes and standards, project management, people leadership, commercial management, and the wider community impacts of our work., • Chartered, working towards Chartered status, or an aspiration to be Chartered., • A collaborative approach and passion for delivering high-quality work., • Strong report writing and communication skills – clear, accurate, and concise., • A degree in Fire Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.
