Job DescriptionSalary: $36.00-$40.00 per hour DOE This opportunity is based out of Brainerd, Minnesota. The duration of the project is 12/2025-11/2026. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will support our project teams in delivering top-tier construction projects. Youll be hands-on, gaining valuable experience in every aspect of project management, from contract administration to site operations. This is a development position, where youll learn the ropes while actively contributing to the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities: • Contract & Subcontractor Management, • Learn to read and interpret contract language to identify scope clarifications and enforce project requirements., • Assist in recognizing and communicating scope gaps to ensure project efficiency., • Support subcontractor management, ensuring they comply with their contracts and project requirements., • Project Coordination & Scheduling, • Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating project schedules to ensure deadlines are met., • Participate in Pre-Con meetings, learning how to prepare agendas and execute successful meetings., • Support the coordination of project materials and resources to meet schedule needs., • Monitor day-to-day operations on-site and resolve minor conflicts or scheduling challenges under supervision., • Team Leadership & Communication, • Assist in conducting weekly Foremans meetings, ensuring strong participation and communication across all team members., • Develop the ability to lead internal team meetings effectively, including Pre-OAC and OAC meetings, ensuring all participants understand their roles and responsibilities., • Support project teams by ensuring clear communication regarding project expectations, deadlines, and regulatory requirements., • Government & Regulatory Compliance, • Meet with municipal authorities to learn about local regulations, permits, and inspection processes., • Assist in coordinating and documenting permits and inspections, ensuring that projects comply with all local requirements., • Learn to manage and maintain Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) requirements., • Quality Control & Safety, • Support the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) process, reviewing submittals, and ensuring that all work is compliant with specifications and designs., • Learn to manage the punch list, ensuring that outstanding items are completed promptly., • Promote and follow safety standards, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members., • Cost Management & Budget Control, • Assist in managing project budgets and ensuring the project stays within cost constraints by reviewing actual costs versus the budget., • Learn to identify and resolve cost overruns, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and profitably., • Review and assist in the approval of subcontractor invoices and ensure accuracy and completeness., • Subcontractor Coordination & Procurement, • Learn how to coordinate the buyout process, ensuring all subcontractor proposals are reviewed and that any scope gaps are addressed., • Support the procurement process, ensuring that all necessary materials and labor are secured for the project on time., • Meeting Documentation & Reporting, • Assist in documenting all key meetings, including progress meetings, Pre-Con meetings, and SOP meetings, to ensure accountability., • Support in creating and distributing meeting agendas and minutes in a timely manner to ensure all team members stay informed., • Help prepare project reports, tracking progress and identifying potential risks early.
