Job Description United Community Bank is looking for a Credit Coordinator/Commercial Loan Assistant This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and evaluating credit information and the financial condition of loan applicants within the framework of Bank guidelines and current economic and industry trends. This role supports the processing, documentation, and monitoring of commercial loans, including ongoing risk assessments for existing credit relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Gather required data from customers, internal systems, and external sources, • Prepare spreadsheets and analyze financial information, including financial statements and tax returns, • Assist in prioritizing commercial credit requests and preparing accurate, timely credit presentations, • Review and renew existing credit facilities, including financial covenant tracking and borrowing base calculations, • Compile data from credit bureau reports and various financial statements, • Conduct industry and peer comparisons, • Perform cash flow analysis and assist in assessing repayment capacity, • Communicate proactively when updated financial information is needed for commercial clients, • Research credit inquiries and UCC filings to determine credit worthiness and ensure appropriate collateral positions, • Write financial reviews and provide recommendations on loan structure, terms and risk considerations, • Build and generate loan documents for commercial loan closings, • Request title work, appraisals and other third-party reports, • Correspond with legal counsel and collections regarding workouts, bankruptcies and charge-offs to ensure all necessary actions are taken, • Attend loan committee meetings, • Work closely with management and team members to support lending operations and maintain workflow efficiencies, • Develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels by proactively participating and contributing to a positive work environment, controlling emotions and temperament, and exhibiting courteous, respectful, and professional behavior at all times, • Maintain familiarity with bank products and services, • Maintain familiarity with all regulatory standards, • Maintain familiarity with and uphold all Bank policies and procedures, • Complete all training requirements as assigned, • Other related duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
