Job DescriptionHealthcare Controller Hospital System | Relocation Assistance Available Join a leading hospital system as a Healthcare Controller where you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and driving strategic financial planning. We're seeking an experienced accounting professional with hospital or healthcare experience to lead our finance team and ensure fiscal excellence across our healthcare organization. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and mentor the Assistant Controller and accounting staff to ensure departmental excellence, • Organize and coordinate all accounting department functions, delegating responsibilities and monitoring workflow to meet critical deadlines, • Establish and track productivity goals and key performance indicators for the finance department, • Develop and maintain an environment of open communication between the accounting department and hospital leadership, • Facilitate the preparation and completion of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic planning initiatives, • Prepare and review cost reports, workpapers, and regulatory reporting for healthcare compliance, • Generate ad hoc financial reports and analysis under the direction of the Associate CFO and CFO, • Ensure compliance with GAAP, healthcare regulations, and internal financial policies and procedures, • Collaborate with hospital management on financial planning, cost containment, and revenue optimization strategiesRequired Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required), • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience (required), • Hospital system or healthcare industry experience (required), • Strong understanding of healthcare financial operations, including cost reporting and reimbursement methodologies, • Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPreferred Qualifications, • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in Accounting or Finance, • 5+ years of accounting experience with 1-2 years supervising accountants in a healthcare setting, • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, • Experience with hospital cost reporting and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, • Familiarity with healthcare ERP systems and financial management softwareWhy This Is a Great Opportunity, • Competitive Compensation: Annual salary range of $100,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience, • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Exceptional health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off, • Relocation Assistance: Full relocation package offered to qualified candidates, • Career Growth: Clear pathway for advancement within a stable and growing healthcare organization, • Leadership Role: Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on hospital financial operations and strategic direction, • Work-Life Balance: Supportive work environment that values employee well-being
