Overview The Senior Loss Control Consulant assists clients in recognizing and eliminating safety hazards. This role inspects insured properties to evaluate physical conditions and designs, implements and promotes safety programs and safety training by performing the following duties. As part of Gallagher, you will be joining a team that delivers more than policies; you will provide proactive risk management consulting, innovative solutions, and an unmatched level of client service How you'll make an impact Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office. • Provide expert consultation on OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA, EPA, and industry-specific regulations., • Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and written procedures., • Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses., • Analize accident trends and develop corrective actions, • Deliver onsite and virtual training (HazCom, LOTO, Confined Space, Ergonomics, etc.)., • Conduct on site risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA/JSA)., • Guide clients in creating leading/lagging indicators and performance metrics., • Support clients during regulatory inspections and enforcement actions., • Prepare high-quality reports, recommendations, and corrective-action plans., • Meets with client risk management and safety personnel., • Measures insured area, calculates frontage, and records description and amount of stock, and photographs or drafts scale drawings of properties, to identify factors affecting insurance premiums, • Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for value-added services., • Works closely with Producers in the development of new business and retention of existing clients, including participation in sales presentations as required., • Required: Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 5 years' related experience in Safety, Risk, or Insurance., • Ability to obtain appropriate licenses in all states where business is conducted. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel., • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside or normal business hours as required., • Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time., • Preferred: "Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Risk Management preferred; and certifications or ability to achieve within the first 18 months in the following are preferred. Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP). " We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
