Job DescriptionJob Title: HVAC Assembler | Weekly Pay | $20-26/hr Job Description This hands-on assembler role supports the build of chiller units for data centers and custom equipment in a modern, climate-controlled production environment. You will assemble products using a variety of hand and power tools, provide general shop support, and work closely with a small, collaborative team to meet daily production goals. As you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to cross-train and expand into additional assembly areas, including custom unit assembly. Responsibilities • Assemble chiller units for data center applications by following detailed work instructions and build specifications., • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process., • Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams as needed for assembly tasks., • Assist with general shop and production support duties, including sweeping and maintaining a clean and organized work area., • Shrink wrap and package materials or completed units to prepare them for shipping or storage., • Perform material handling and clean-up activities to support other assemblers and keep production flowing smoothly., • Work collaboratively with the assembly team to achieve daily production goals and meet schedule requirements., • Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures to ensure safe and reliable products., • Cross-train over time into additional assembly areas, including custom unit assembly and sheet metal fabrication tasks as needed., • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about progress, issues, and improvement opportunities., • At least 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in sheet metal, mechanical assembly, or a similar environment., • Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in a production or assembly setting., • Ability to read and follow work instructions, build specifications, and basic blueprints or schematics., • Basic understanding of mechanical assembly processes and production workflows., • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and consistent quality., • Strong work ethic, reliability, and motivation to learn and grow within the role., • Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to shared production goals., • Willingness and physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform material handling and clean-up tasks., • 1+ years of manufacturing experience, with 3+ years of sheet metal or mechanical assembly experience considered a strong plus., • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, including working with sheet metal components., • Exposure to electrical work, schematics, and wiring in a manufacturing or assembly context., • Experience in HVAC or related manufacturing industries is strongly preferred., • Ability to cross-train and adapt to new assembly areas and processes over time., • Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a willingness to help others on the production floor., • Demonstrated stability in previous employment and interest in long-term growth with the company., • Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment where daily output goals are important. Work Environment The role is based in a large, brand-new, climate-controlled warehouse with windows, high ceilings, and dedicated machine and assembly areas. The team is small and close-knit, and leadership treats employees like family, fostering a supportive and engaging environment with holiday parties and employee appreciation events. First shift runs Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with one 30-minute lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks. Second shift runs Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., also with one 30-minute lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks. The dress code is casual, with steel-toe boots required for safety. The position starts at one facility and will transition to another nearby site when it opens, supporting both HVAC and data center business operations as the company expands. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
