Job Description Commercial door delivery driver / Shop coordinator Reports to: General Manager Job Summary The Commercial Door, Frame & Hardware Delivery Driver / Warehouse Worker / Shop Grinder is responsible for supporting daily operations by delivering materials to job sites, receiving and organizing inventory, preparing doors and hardware, and performing shop grinding and finishing tasks. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely deliveries and high-quality preparation of commercial doors, frames, and hardware. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Delivery & Jobsite Support • Safely load, transport, and deliver commercial doors, frames, and hardware to customer job sites, • Verify delivery contents against packing slips and job documentation, • Communicate professionally with contractors, project managers, and jobsite personnel, • Assist with unloading materials and staging as required, • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition of materials, • Stock, organize, and maintain warehouse inventory, • Pull and stage materials for upcoming jobs and deliveries, • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (as certified), • Grind, sand, and prep steel doors and frames for finishing and installation, • Perform basic modifications to doors and frames as required (cutouts, touch-ups, deburring), • Assist with door and hardware preparation, including labeling and job identification, • Follow shop drawings, schedules, and work orders accurately, • Follow all company safety policies and MIOSHA/OSHA guidelines, • Always use proper personal protective equipment (PPE), • Report damaged materials, safety concerns, or quality issues promptly, • High school diploma or GED preferred, • Valid Chauffer's driver’s license or the ability to get one is a must have and an acceptable driving record that you can be insured by the company to drive vehicles under 26,000 lbs.
