Key Responsibilities\n\nLead, motivate, and develop a team of Event Production Managers, ensuring high performance and exceptional client satisfaction.\nAllocate and manage workloads effectively to ensure seamless event delivery across multiple projects.\nOversee the technical planning and execution of events, ensuring quality, safety, and client expectations are consistently met.\nMaintain oversight of event production budgets, staffing costs, technical equipment expenditure, forecasting, and financial reporting.\nIdentify opportunities to maximise revenue through technical production enhancements, room theming, and additional event services.\nSupport the sales process by providing technical expertise and contributing to client proposals and presentations.\nEnsure accurate event documentation, including technical specifications, schedules, risk assessments, and health and safety records.\nKeep abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and event trends to enhance event experiences and service delivery.\nReview and maintain venue technical specifications and work collaboratively with sales and operational teams to improve client outcomes.\nManage technical crew scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring events are appropriately staffed and delivered within budget.\nProvide leadership and oversight for production administration functions.\nTake an active, hands-on role in event delivery when required and support the wider team in resolving operational challenges.\nEnsure compliance with all statutory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices\nEnsure all events are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry guidance.\nLead health and safety planning, risk management, and operational compliance within the department \n\nSkills & Experience\n\nEssential\n\nProven experience in a senior event production leadership role with a strong record of delivering high-profile events.\nExtensive knowledge of technical event production across live events, conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, awards, banqueting, hybrid, and virtual events.\nStrong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.\nStrong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasting, cost control, and revenue generation.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.\nStrong understanding of event health and safety requirements and industry best practice, including the AEV eGuide. \n\nDesirable\n\nNEBOSH or IOSH Health & Safety qualification.\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD or a relevant qualification.\nExperience working within a venue, conference centre, exhibition venue, or event production company environment.Additional Information\n\nDuties and responsibilities may vary from time to time, and the successful candidate will be expected to undertake any other duties reasonably commensurate with the level of the role
