JOB DETAILS JOB BAND: B CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term Contract, Full-time / Attachment, Full-time until 26th of February 2027 DEPARTMENT: BBC Children's & Education LOCATION: Salford PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £24,600 - £31,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE BBC Education exists to transform lives through education. That clear vision drives everything we do as we lead the overall education strategy for the BBC. Part of BBC Bitesize, Bitesize Careers is our digital platform which helps young people navigate the world of work with advice from experts and young people who have found a path which suits them. In Autumn we are launching a Careers campaign, in partnership with the Open University, aimed at 14-19-year-olds which will inspire young people to discover jobs and careers they will enjoy through focusing on their interests and passions, starting with football. Bitesize Careers is looking for an experienced researcher to work closely with the producer and assistant producer to deliver a high-quality digital campaign, ensuring it resonates with the target audience and has real impact. WHY JOIN THE TEAM You will gain a thorough understanding of how a BBC Bitesize campaign is run by supporting the producer and assistant producer in the set up and delivery of the campaign, including the launch event, films, podcast series and quizzes to help young people navigate the world of work. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT: Utilising your digital skills to create content for the campaign which will sit on the Careers website. This might include uploading videos, writing articles, adding promos / links from the campaign pages to relevant contact across the BBC or our partners' sites. Supporting the set-up and delivery of the campaign launch, helping to identify contributors and ambassadors to feature in films, events, podcast series or promotional content. Researching, sourcing and pre-interviewing potential contributors, ambassadors and industry experts, ensuring diversity of backgrounds and career pathways. Once the campaign is up and running evaluate content performance to help inform future content/curation of collection pages, ensuring they are easy to navigate Supporting the assistant producer in creating promotional content aimed at schools Undertaking audience research to ensure content reflects the needs, motivations and barriers faced by 14-19-year-olds when exploring careers. Translating complex career pathways and industry information into clear, accessible language for a youth audience. Identify emerging trends across youth, sport and careers content to shape campaign storytelling and tone; fact‑check all material to ensure accuracy, alignment with BBC editorial guidelines, and effective cross‑promotion between Bitesize Careers and partner platforms, including researching new football and careers sector partners to support amplification opportunities. Monitor analytics to track user behaviour, engagement and traffic sources, producing short insight summaries to inform editorial decisions and improve user journeys; review feedback to refine content collections and enhance navigation across campaign pages. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: You'll have a strong digital skillset, with experience in creating and working with digital content assets across platforms including social. You will also have experience in using digital content management systems You will have sound editorial judgement and a demonstrable passion for creating engaging educational content for young people You'll have an interest in working with statistics and audience data, using it to inform decisions around content You'll be a creative and driven self-starter, able to manage your time effectively and work both independently and as part of a small team DESIRABLE Interest in Football would be an advantage ]]>
