Job title Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer Location London Salary or rate £50,000 Contract type Permanent About the role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer to support the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems and dry risers across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and residential sites throughout London. This Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer role focuses on ensuring fire protection systems remain fully operational, compliant with relevant standards, and capable of providing effective fire suppression when required. As a Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, routine inspections, fault finding, and system repairs across a range of sprinkler installations. Working independently and alongside a wider engineering team, the Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer will ensure all work is delivered in accordance with industry regulations, company procedures, and health and safety requirements. The successful Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer will also interact with clients on site, providing technical guidance, reporting findings, and recommending remedial works where appropriate. Accurate record keeping, including service documentation and compliance reporting, will form an important part of the Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer position. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer to contribute to the reliability and performance of critical life safety systems within a specialist fire protection environment. Key responsibilities • Carry out servicing and remedial works on commercial and residential sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, fire hose reels, and dry and wet risers in accordance with current British and EN standards • Conduct inspections, testing, servicing, and remedial works on domestic and commercial fire sprinkler systems and wet riser systems • Identify and troubleshoot system faults and carry out necessary repairs • Survey systems and sites to identify remedial works requirements • Provide technical information to support quotations for system upgrades or modifications in line with manufacturer and industry guidance • Ensure all work meets industry standards and complies with safety regulations • Read and interpret blueprints and design layouts • Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation • Work across single and multiple site locations as required Skills and experience required Essential • Proven experience of at least six years in a similar Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer role • Strong knowledge of commercial and residential sprinkler systems including BS9251 • Experience carrying out inspections, servicing, maintenance, and remedial works on sprinkler and riser systems • Competence working with fire alarms and a wide range of commercial sprinkler systems • Ability to perform system changeovers and identify faults effectively • Strong problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail • Disciplined and organised approach to work • Excellent time keeping and flexibility to work across multiple locations • Willingness to attend required training programmes • Full UK driving licence Desirable • Certification or recognised qualifications in fire protection systems What is on offer, • Salary of £50,000 • Permanent Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer position • Specialist tools provided • Opportunity to develop experience within a specialist fire protection environment • Ongoing training programmes relevant to the Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer role How to apply If this Senior Sprinkler Service Engineer role is of interest and matches your experience, please apply with your CV as soon as possible.
