This key role involves managing contractors, maintaining site and building standards, and leading the development of facilities infrastructure to support current and future operations.\n\nThe ideal candidate will be proactive, safety‑focused, highly organised, and confident managing complex facilities and compliance requirements. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role requires regular collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nChampion high standards of health & safety, investigate incidents, and drive preventative actions.\nOversee contractor management and ensure full compliance with site procedures.\nMaintain fire safety equipment and associated services.\nEnsure all facility activities are carried out safely and efficiently, including RAMS completion and adherence.\nDevelop and maintain a structured facilities maintenance schedule.\nLead planned refurbishments, including gathering quotations and preparing budget submissions.\nWork closely with department heads to maintain and improve site facilities aligned with business needs.\nManage maintenance of site utilities, including power, water, and wastewater systems.\nCollaborate with the Operations Director on investment and improvement projects.\nTake responsibility for facilities-related budgeting, including service charges.\nEnsure the site remains compliant with regulatory and internal requirements.\nCommunicate effectively regarding site works, disruption, and cross‑department collaboration.\nBuild strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.\nSupport the implementation of a combined operations and facilities CMMS system. \n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience in facilities or site management\nExperience with NEBOSH/IOSH Health & Safety certification\nGCSE level education\nProject management experience \n\nCLICK NOW TO APPLY!\n\nAt Morgan Ryder we can provide you with a full range of employment opportunities from short term and fixed term temporary vacancies to permanent positions.\n\nWe recruit for companies that operate in the following industries: Defence Equipment, Food and Drink Manufacturers, FMCG, Packaging, Engineering, Automotive, Aerospace, Warehousing, Logistics, Waste Management, Petro Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Power & Renewable Energy.\n\nOur commitment:\n\nEqual opportunities are important to us.
