Job Description Join SYZYGY Global as a Controller SYZYGY Global, a luxury outdoor living brand redefining the pergola experience, is seeking a high-level Controller to take full ownership of our financial operations. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring accuracy, driving financial discipline, and supporting the company’s growth with structured, data-driven decision-making. What You’ll Own Financial Operations & Reporting • Own all Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing, • Manage payroll through Paycom, including reimbursements, adjustments, and commissions, • Track and verify all sales commissions through Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and alignment with received deposits, • Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow projections, and departmental budgets, • Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks with precision and consistency, • Oversee all tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, • Monitor and manage all project budgets, comparing actual vs. estimated costs and identifying discrepancies, • Track departmental budgets to ensure alignment with company goals, • Prepare cash flow reports and lead regular cash flow meetings with the project team, • Oversee onboarding of all employees into payroll and benefits systems, • Ensure healthcare, dental, and vision benefits are properly administered, • Manage and audit sales commissions, ensuring accurate calculation and timely payout, • Process employee reimbursements in compliance with company policies, • Oversee all vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to maintain strong relationships, • Manage client collections with clear communication and urgency to support cash flow, • Track outstanding balances and provide consistent reporting on collection status, • Partner with Sales to verify deposits, track revenue, and ensure accurate commission reporting, • Work closely with the Project Team to reconcile AP, confirm project payments, and manage collections, • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, labor laws, and insurance requirements, • Maintain audit-ready financial records and documentation, • Own and optimize financial systems including Paycom, Salesforce, and QuickBooks, • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency The Controller is a cornerstone of SYZYGY Global’s financial health and operational discipline. This role ensures accuracy, protects cash flow, and enables leadership to make informed, strategic decisions. By maintaining strong financial systems, clear reporting, and disciplined processes, this role directly impacts profitability, scalability, and long-term success.
