Job DescriptionGleaners Food Bank of Indiana is the state’s largest hunger relief organization and one of the leading food banks in the Feeding America Network. In additional to vital hunger relief programs in our 21-county service area, we also operate Fresh Connect Central, a regional produce cooperative for Feeding America, serve as a contract reclamation site for Kroger Central Division, and are a staging site for FEMA disaster response. Position Purpose of Neighbor Insights Analyst: The Neighbor Insights Analyst supports Gleaners’ mission by overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data that demonstrates program impact and informs strategic decision-making. Key metrics will include the voices of neighbors with lived experience. This role assists in evaluating outcomes across the organization’s initiatives, including the Tom and Julie Wood Family Resource Center, drive-thru food pantry, agency distributions, and mobile pantries, while developing tools that help Gleaners understand how services improve food security across our 21-county service area. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, collaborative, and deeply committed to advancing equity through data-informed hunger-relief work. All responsibilities shall be consistent with Gleaners Food Bank’s mission to be a leader in the fight against hunger. • 14 paid holidays 3 Paid Sick Leave Days, Federal Holidays, 2 Volunteer Days & Birthday, • Learning & Development Opportunities, • Company paid vision, long-term disability, $50,000 life AD&D, • Paid Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance, • Maternal, parental & caregiver leave, • On-site Gym, • Wellness programs, • 403(b) Plan with up to 4% match, • Monthly attendance bonus, • Earn up to 10% incentive pay Impact Evaluation & Measurement • Assist in the development of logic models, theories of change, and outcome frameworks for Gleaners’ key programs., • Define outcome indicators that capture changes in household food security, access to nutritious food, reduced barriers to services, program satisfaction, and community engagement., • Assist in the development of evaluation plans that support organizational learning and strategic goals., • Analyze data across distribution programs, neighbor demographics, community need indicators, and partner network performance., • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity., • Implement data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms., • Identify trends and insights that help Gleaners strengthen services and target resources where they are needed most., • Conduct geographic and demographic analyses to assess equity of access and identify service gaps., • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal teams, funders, community partners, Senior Leadership Team, and others., • Support grant applications by providing data, mapping, and other analysis to support grant requests from Gleaners and our network partners; support grant reporting by providing accurate, timely outcome data and narrative interpretation as needed., • Collaborate with Marketing to integrate compelling, data-informed impact stories into public materials. Organizational Learning & Continuous Improvement • Share evaluation findings with teams across Gleaners to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement., • Support pilot projects, innovation initiatives, and new programs by designing evaluation components and success metrics, incorporating the voices of our neighbors with lived experience into the process., • Stay informed about and utilize online data access, mapping, and analysis tools such as PolicyMap, SAVI, United Way’s ALICE data, Map the Meal Gap, Tableau, PowerBI, and others., • Bachelor’s degree in evaluation, social sciences, data analytics, public health, or related field—or equivalent relevant experience., • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills., • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with data visualization or dashboard tools., • Experience developing surveys or research tools., • Experience with qualitative methods such as interviews and focus groups., • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences., • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy., • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and partner organizations., • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication, and presentation skills., • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook., • Ability to create, analyze and present/articulate reports and findings., • Experience working with online data collection platforms such as JotForm, Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, and others., • Ability to work in databases such as Salesforce., • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple priorities, and project management while working independently under minimal supervision., • Results-oriented, with a passion for creativity, innovative vision, and out-of-the-box thinking., • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions., • Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)., • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds., • A commitment to full and visible participation as a hunger relief leader in the community.
