We're glad you asked! • Competitive base salary: $125,000-$150,000 a year, • Competitive base salary, bonuses, and profit-sharing potential, • Medical, dental, life, and short/long-term disability insurance, • Generous 401(k) with match, • Generous vacation, • Generous paid time off (PTO), • Paid company holidays, • Summer half-day Fridays, • Flexible hybrid work schedule (minimum 3 days in office) YOUR DAY-TO-DAY As our Director, Healthcare/Sciences, you will: • Provide management, mentoring, and overall team oversight for your respective discipline, • Manage and oversee overall technical quality and QA/QC processes for the department, • Supervise and manage a team of direct reports and assigned engineers on each project., • Collaborate with management staff to maintain scheduling of project deadlines and manpower assignments., • Develop and write bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, etc., • Provide deep engineering expertise, guidance, and problem-solving for drawings, designs, specifications, and calculations., • Provide hands-on project management by consistently reviewing project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and on budget, adjusting manpower and resources as needed., • Establish and maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring the highest level of responsiveness and communication., • Interact with other department directors to maintain efficient operation of the department., • In conjunction with the VP and President, hire (with approval), train, and mentor engineering staff., • Write performance appraisals and mediate performance issues., • Ensure accurate project accounting, working with accounting to ensure compliance with all protocols., • Maintain department budget and revenue projections., • Excellent "in-person" communication skills, • Eligible to work in the US without the need for sponsorship, • Professional Engineer (PE) certification, • 15+ years of progressive engineering and managerial experience in the US, • Experience in the management and multi-disciplined team of MEP engineers and designers, • Knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection, • Proficient with the detailed design for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical/IT systems within the healthcare and life sciences fields, • Strong project management skills, • Knowledgeable of local, state, and national code requirements, specifically NFPA and Joint Meeting, FGI, and AHJ, • Experience in load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and/or Carrier HAP, • Strong knowledge and utilization of AutoCAD and Revit experience., • Good time management, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions, • Excellent financial management skills and business acumen, • Excellent Microsoft Office abilities, • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, • Ability to plan and manage projects to achieve client demands and deadlines, • Ability to direct and manage the activities of internal and external resources, • Ability to manage and direct the workflow of others, • Ability to prioritize as well as multitask, • Ability to effectively train and mentor others, • Able to work collaboratively within the company as well as with the client, • Knowledge of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus WHY CHOOSE OUR CLIENT?
