Job Description Position Summary: The HR Planning & Analytics Manager is responsible for strategic workforce planning and people analytics to ensure the organization has the right talent, in the right roles, at the right time to meet business objectives. This role partners with HR and business leaders to forecast workforce needs, assess current talent supply, identify future skill gaps, and develop strategies across succession planning, retention, development programs, performance management, and rewards. This position also supports the design and continuous improvement of HR systems, policies, and planning processes to enable productivity, growth, and organizational readiness. Workforce Forecasting & Strategic Planning • Partner with business leaders and HR to forecast short- and long-term workforce needs based on strategic priorities, growth plans, and operational demands., • Translate business plans into workforce plans (headcount, skills, locations, organization design considerations) to support execution., • Support annual and quarterly planning cycles, including headcount planning, budgeting inputs, and scenario modeling., • Workforce Supply/Demand Analysis & Skill Gap Identification, • Assess current workforce supply (capacity, capabilities, demographics, attrition risk, performance distribution) and compare to future demand., • Identify capability gaps and emerging skill needs; recommend build/buy/borrow strategies (develop, hire, outsource, redeploy)., • Evaluate workforce trends, turnover drivers, and productivity indicators to inform strategic decisions. Succession Planning, Retention & Talent Readiness • Support succession planning frameworks and talent reviews, including role criticality, successor readiness, and development actions., • Partner with HRBPs and leaders to design retention strategies for critical roles and high-potential talent., • Help define internal mobility approaches, career pathways, and development planning to strengthen pipeline and reduce skill shortages. Development Programs & Performance Management Support • Contribute to the design and execution of development initiatives to close skill gaps (training programs, leadership development, mentoring, stretch assignments)., • Support performance management processes (goal setting, review cycles, calibration support, performance analytics) to improve consistency and talent outcomes., • Provide tools and guidance to leaders to strengthen coaching, capability building, and team effectiveness., • Compensation Planning, Rewards & Recognition, • Support workforce-related compensation planning activities such as annual merit cycles, promotion planning, and internal equity reviews., • Partner with Compensation/Total Rewards and Finance on workforce cost modeling, budget impacts, and rewards strategy inputs., • Contribute to rewards and recognition approaches that reinforce desired behaviors and improve engagement and retention. HR Systems, Policy & Process Enablement • Help maintain and improve HR planning tools, dashboards, and HRIS reporting capabilities to support workforce insights and decision-making., • Develop and document workforce planning processes, governance, and operating cadence with HR and business stakeholders., • Contribute to HR policy and process updates related to workforce planning, talent reviews, performance management, and internal mobility. Reporting, Metrics & Insights • Build and deliver workforce metrics and insights (e.g., headcount, attrition, vacancy rates, time-to-fill, talent pipeline health, critical role coverage)., • Create executive-ready presentations and summaries that clearly communicate risks, recommendations, and action plans., • Use data to evaluate effectiveness of workforce strategies and recommend continuous improvements., • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or HR leadership. Basic Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required., • 7+ years of experience in workforce planning, HR planning, people analytics, HR operations, HRBP support, or related strategic HR function., • Experience forecasting workforce needs and analyzing workforce data (supply/demand, skill gaps, attrition trends, or capacity planning)., • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (or Google Sheets); ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations., • Familiarity with performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning processes., • Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and business leadership., • Proven ability to communicate complex information effectively, producing executive-level reports and presentations that drive informed decision-making. Additional Preferences: • Proven HR experience within a GMP environment, • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including New Jersey–specific requirements.., • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism., • Highly adaptable to new processes, system changes, or evolving business needs., • Experience in HR reporting, data analysis, and metrics-driven decision-making., • Adept at delivering training and facilitating productive manager/employee conversations., • Experience with HRIS and analytics tools (e.g., ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Power BI/Tableau, or similar)., • Strong experience in compensation planning support, workforce budgeting, or financial modeling., • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is a plus. This is an exempt, salaried role with an anticipated compensation range of $102,750 to $137,000.
