Job Description Job Description Job Title: HVAC Field Supervisor – Service Location: De Pere/Appleton, WI Department: HVAC Reports to: Service Manager Date: 2/3/2026 FSLA Status Salaried Exempt (25% Field; 75% Office) Summary: The HVAC Field Supervisor – Service is responsible for leading and developing the team of HVAC Service Technicians delivering high‑quality service to residential and commercial customers. This role ensures that all technicians are trained, supported, and held to performance benchmarks while maintaining a high standard of customer service and technical excellence while supporting the daily operations across both the De Pere and Appleton locations. Other duties may be assigned. Strategic Work: • Integrates the Nexstar process for service calls within the field staff, • Integrates best practices to drive profitable results., • Show technicians how to establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services., • Understand sales criteria and assist your team accountable for exceeding revenue goals., • Monitor performance of field technicians and advise them on how to improve., • Assist with managing team schedule to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes., • Review tech referrals and option sheets to ensure field staff is following expectations, • Assist with evaluating the performance and results of the HVAC service staff to achieve departmental objectives as defined by management, • Promote safe working practices and ensure adherence to service procedures and standards., • Hold consistent 1:1 meetings with Team Captains to address performance, challenges, and goals., • Ensure adequate technician staffing levels to meet customer demand while staying within budget., • Coordinate with field trainers to ensure consistent and effective technical training., • Develop a rapport with field staff to help them grow, • Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals., • Recruit, interview, hire, and oversee onboarding for new technicians., • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities., • Strong verbal and written communications., • Quick, sound decision-making abilities., • Ability to build trust and demonstrate empathy., • Excel in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment, • Analyze and reduce callbacks through training, coaching and ride-along (approx.. 25% of time), • Knows and follows all Federal, state, and local Water rules and regulations., • Keeps vehicle neat and clean., • Travel between Wisconsin and Minnesota locations as needed to support team development and operational alignment., • Regular, predictable, on-site attendance is expected. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has supervisory responsibilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop technicians., • Requires strong mechanical skills and attention to detail., • Must maintain neat appearance (company uniforms) and good hygiene., • Good presentation and public speaking skills, • Must have excellent computer, I-Pad, and phone skills EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in field service or technical operations., • Or 4 years’ experience in HVAC Service Management including: Overseeing employee relations, scheduling, performance reviews, training, and experience in escalation resolution., • HVAC industry experience strongly preferred., • Nexstar Service System Certification preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS: • Must be able to read and write English well enough to read and prepare invoices time sheets and proposals., • Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face for extended periods of time., • Must speak English well enough to speak clearly to customers, inspectors, vendors, other managers, staff, and the public. SKILLS and REASONING ABILITY: • Must be able to successfully complete mathematical aptitude evaluation, • Capable of applying sound business judgment to all decisions. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, • Must have required Federal, state, and local licenses and/or certificates. This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. This includes attics, crawl spaces, and confined locations.
