Job DescriptionA respected regional law firm with a strong presence across Texas and Louisiana is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its New Orleans office. This is a fully in-office position supporting attorneys across a busy litigation practice.POSITION OVERVIEWThe ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a wide range of litigation support and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment. Strong technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and prior experience supporting litigation attorneys are essential.RESPONSIBILITIES • Draft, proofread, revise, and format legal correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, engagement letters, and other legal documents, • Prepare, organize, and coordinate court filings, discovery materials, pleadings, and case-related documentation, • Handle electronic filing submissions in state and federal courts and administrative agencies, • Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files using document management systems, including NetDocs or similar platforms, • Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, scheduling, meetings, conference calls, and video conferences, • Assist with opening new client matters, conducting conflict checks, and maintaining client and contact records, • Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics, including preparation of presentation and meeting materials, • Support attorneys with day-to-day litigation and administrative tasks in a deadline-driven environment, • Manage correspondence, organize pleadings and discovery materials, and ensure accuracy and consistency across all documentsQUALIFICATIONS, • Minimum of 3 years of litigation legal secretary or litigation support experience within a law firm environment, • Strong experience preparing litigation documents, pleadings, correspondence, and court filings, • Experience with state and federal court e-filing procedures required, • Proficiency with electronic document management systems such as NetDocs preferred, • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required, • Comfortable using remote collaboration and conferencing tools including Zoom, Teams, WebEx, and similar platforms, • Exceptional proofreading, organizational, and time management skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work independently with minimal supervision, • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate attorney and client needsWHY JOIN?, • 100% in-office position based in New Orleans, • Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications, • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, and 401(k) benefits, • Collaborative and professional team-oriented environment, • Opportunity to support sophisticated litigation matters across a diverse practice, • Stable and growing legal platform with long-term career growth opportunities, • Fast-paced environment with meaningful responsibility and direct attorney interaction, • Strong administrative infrastructure and supportive workplace culture
