About this opportunity: We are seeking a Project Superintendent to join our field department in Fort Myers. The Project Superintendent provides daily leadership and oversight for field operations, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's quality standards. Serving as the primary onsite field leader, this role is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, monitoring job performance, resolving field challenges, and maintaining consistency in project delivery from start-up through closeout. Job responsibilities include: • Lead and manage all onsite construction activities, ensuring safe and productive work environments., • Direct and support subcontractors, craft workers, and field teams; provide daily work direction and performance oversight., • Collaborate with project management and preconstruction teams to assess project methodology, risks, and potential challenges., • Develop, monitor, and communicate short-interval (look-ahead) schedules to maintain momentum and sequencing clarity., • Coordinate subcontractor work to ensure alignment with the master project schedule and minimize delays., • Manage jobsite logistics including deliveries, equipment placement, laydown areas, temporary utilities, and material flow., • Lead or contribute to OAC and subcontractor coordination meetings., • Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, codes, and O-A-K quality standards., • Review plans, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to confirm constructability and field readiness., • Conduct routine inspections and proactively address deficiencies or potential rework., • Oversee punch-list development, resolution, and turnover activities., • Champion a culture of safety by enforcing O-A-K policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements., • Conduct regular safety walks, identify hazards, and initiate corrective actions to maintain a safe jobsite., • Maintain accurate daily reports, workforce logs, weather documentation, and project updates in Procore., • Serve as the onsite representative for O-A-K, maintaining open communication with owners, architects, consultants, and partners. The ideal candidate will possess: • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Two or more years of experience in construction management., • Construction Background: Expert knowledge of construction means and methods. Proficient in reviewing plans, blueprints, and specifications., • Eye for Detail: Accuracy is critical for success in this role. Candidate must have strong organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and decision-making skills., • Tech Know-How: Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Bluebeam and Procore preferred., • Safety: OSHA 30 Construction Safety & Health Certification required., • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds; reliable transportation required., • Initiative: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead a jobsite., • Team Player: Ability to positively contribute in a team environment and build strong relationships with subcontractors, field teams, and stakeholders., • Trust: Our clients return to O-A-K because we are honest, genuine, and authentic; our sense of integrity guides our work.
