Job Description As the District Manager, Sales at Rural Mutual Insurance Company, you will lead a regional sales force of agents to drive premium growth, retention, and profitability. You will inspire and guide agents by providing coaching, removing obstacles, monitoring performance, and creating the conditions for success. You will act as a strategic link between field sales and corporate leadership. Territory located in Northwest Wisconsin. Salary plus commissions and company company-provided vehicle. Responsibilities: • Recruit qualified sales agent candidates proactively and lead the hiring and onboarding process using RMIC tools, standards, and resources., • Coach, mentor, and develop agents to adopt RMIC business practices, workflows, CRM systems, and other tools to maximize sales effectiveness., • Use data and performance metrics to monitor progress, influence agent activity, and identify opportunities or challenges within the district., • Ensure the district adheres to regulatory requirements, company underwriting and risk guidelines, and internal audit controls., • Oversee prompt processing of all transmittals, applications, and premiums written or received by agents in the district., • Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders—such as the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, county farm bureaus, RMIC leadership, and agent associations—to reinforce alignment and execution., • Fulfill all obligations outlined in the District Manager Agreement., • Perform related duties as assigned by your supervisor., • Proven track record of exceeding goals in property/casualty and/or life insurance sales roles., • Prior leadership or management experience, especially with recruiting, coaching, and performance management., • Property & Casualty insurance sales license required., • Ability or commitment to obtain Series 6, 26, and 63 securities licenses within 6 months of appointment., • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)., • Previous experience in agency ownership, insurance distribution management, or business-driven roles is a strong plus., • Experience in agribusiness or familiarity with the farming community is a plus.
