Reed Business Support are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary for a busy, well established law firm. As a Legal Secretary you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to their Fee Earners in the Family Department. \n Benefits: \n\n • Competitive salary and benefits package.\n, • Opportunities for professional development and training.\n, • Supportive team environment.\n, • 35 hours per week\n, • 9 – 5 Monday – Friday, 1 hour for lunch\n, • 22 days annual leave plus BH\n\n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Prepare correspondence, bills, and documents through audio typing and word processing.\n, • Manage electronic client files on Leap, including compliance checks and procedures.\n, • Attend to clients in person and via telephone, providing support in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive representation of the firm.\n, • Handle necessary photocopying, appointment scheduling, meeting arrangements, and diary management.\n, • Check own work to minimise errors and ensure accuracy.\n, • Assist in the personal organisation of the fee-earner through diary management, including key dates.\n, • Undertake specific training as required and take responsibility for self-development.\n, • Maintain confidentiality of all firm’s and clients’ documentation and information.\n, • Conduct new client intakes, including taking relevant details and performing conflict checks.\n, • Undertake ad hoc tasks and provide support to other secretaries as needed.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Proven legal secretarial experience, particularly in Family Law.\n, • Proficient in audio typing.\n, • Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 5 or above, or equivalent qualifications.\n, • Excellent organisational ability and client care skills.\n, • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.\n, • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.\n, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\n, • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.\n, • Good understanding of Legal Aid contractual requirements and procedures.\n, • Experience using a client case management system and Legal Aid System - CCMS.\n\n \n
