Our client is currently seeking a Head Chef to ensure the day to day running of the kitchen. Kitchen experience would be essential and a previous management role would be advantageous. A positive attitude and the ability to mix well with staff and guests is most important. This is a hands on role and we are looking for a good team player with leader qualities . • Ensure the smooth running of the day to day operations. • Directly control GP, wages, menu ideas, cost saving and sales. • Be responsible for the kitchen. • Lead by example and offer training and coaching where needed. • Set up food and serving areas • Maintain a high standard of hygiene & cleanliness throughout the kitchen, storage areas and surrounding work spaces. • Use the correct tools and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. • Work well as a team and individually. • Assist with deliveries unloading and checking delivery notes. • Assist with food ordering and planning.
