Data Architect Stratford-upon-Avon / Solihull Area (Hybrid – 1 day per month in office) £95,000–£100,000 + Benefits The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a growing technology function, reporting directly into senior leadership. This is a strategic and hands-on role focused on designing and delivering scalable modern data platforms within a cloud-first environment. You will play a key role in shaping enterprise data architecture, driving best practices, and supporting business-critical transformation initiatives across the organisation. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys balancing architecture, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and long-term platform strategy. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable cloud-based data architectures using Microsoft Azure technologies, • Define modern data platform strategies, integration patterns, and governance standards, • Work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to align technical solutions with commercial objectives, • Provide architectural leadership across data transformation and cloud migration initiatives, • Drive best practices around performance, scalability, security, and data quality, • Mentor and support technical teams while influencing architectural direction, • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business Core Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a Data Architect within enterprise-scale environments, • Strong expertise across the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem including:, • Azure Synapse, • Databricks, • Microsoft Fabric, • Azure SQL, • Azure Data Factory (ADF), • Cosmos DB, • Power BI, • Strong hands-on capability with:, • SQL / NoSQL, • PySpark, • Data streaming technologies, • Strong understanding of:, • Modern data architectures, • Lakehouse and cloud-native platforms, • Data integration patterns, • Enterprise cloud design, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, • Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities, • Collaborative mindset with experience mentoring teams and driving engineering standards Desirable • Azure and/or AWS certifications, • Experience delivering enterprise cloud transformation programmes, • Exposure to modern analytics and AI-ready data platforms Package • £95,000–£100,000 base salary, • Hybrid working – 1 day per month in office, • Long-term strategic programme work, • High level of ownership and architectural influence, • Collaborative and forward-thinking technology environment If you are an experienced Data Architect looking for a role with strong technical ownership, modern Azure technologies, and genuine strategic impact, we would be keen to speak with you.
