Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across the group, • Deliver timely, accurate consolidated monthly management accounts and MI, • Produce board-level reporting packs with insightful financial commentary, • Oversee cashflow, liquidity, and working capital optimisation, • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning cycles, • Manage covenant reporting and maintain strong lender relationships, • Drive improvements across finance systems, processes, and internal controls, • Strengthen the overall financial control and governance framework, • Lead finance integration for newly acquired entities and sites, • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, tax advisors, and external partners, • Ensure full compliance with UK statutory reporting requirements, • Act as the technical accounting lead, including complex accounting matters and VAT considerations Candidate Profile • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), • Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams, • Strong technical accounting expertise, including statutory reporting and complex VAT, • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills, • Strategic mindset combined with strong attention to detail, • Comfortable operating at both hands-on and board-interaction level, • Experience in a private equity–backed environment is advantageous but not essential The Opportunity This is a high-impact leadership role within a fast-growing PE-backed organisation, offering genuine influence, exposure to strategic decision-making, and clear progression potential as the group continues to scale through acquisition.
