It has been a busy time at Murgitroyd and with the backing of Sovereign Capital and multiple recent acquisitions under their belt, the business is looking to enhance their finance function with a highly experienced Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to support their continued success. Reporting to the CFO and managing the FP&A Analyst, the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis joins an established finance function and plays a critical role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making through financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. This role partners closely with business leaders to deliver insights that drive performance, improve profitability, and support long-term growth. Lead annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and scenario analysis identify trends, risks, and opportunities Act as a trusted finance partner to department leaders and senior management Provide financial guidance and support on pricing, cost management, revenue growth, and investment decisions Create executive-level presentations for leadership and board reviews Development of existing commercial KPIs Financial modelling for proposed acquisitions as required, including production on associated investment case Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency in financial reporting Improve financial planning processes, tools, and reporting automation Support implementation and optimization of FP&A systems Experience in an FP&A position is essential, ideally at Manager level or higher though consideration will be given to candidates who have relevant experience and looking to make a step up. You should have the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights and be able to communicate and present this to others in a professional manner including both internal and external stakeholders. As the business is PE backed, previous private equity experience is preferred but not a requirement. On offer is an excellent salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.
