The Children’s Home Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of a residential children’s home for young people with . We as a company are happy to work with a motivated and dedicated Deputy Manager with a strong track record in leadership and service management, currently seeking to progress into a Registered Manager position to further develop their career and take on greater responsibility in delivering high-quality care and operational excellence. • Provide effective leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care., • Develop and maintain a positive, safe, and homely environment that meets the individual needs of young people., • Lead regular team meetings, supervisions, and appraisals to promote professional development and reflective practice., • Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times., • Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place, understood, and followed by all staff., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and care plans in line with regulatory and organisational requirements., • Promote a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach to care for children with EBD., • Support the development of personalised care and placement plans that address individual emotional, social, and educational needs., • Foster positive relationships between young people, staff, families, and external professionals., • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a competent and motivated workforce., • Promote a positive team culture based on mutual respect, openness, and accountability., • Proven experience in managing or deputising within a children’s residential home., • Strong understanding of EBD, trauma, attachment theory, and therapeutic approaches to care., • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance (Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Working Together to Safeguard Children, etc.)., • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Experience in achieving or maintaining “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings., • Training in therapeutic models (e.g., PACE, Trauma-Informed Practice)., • Compassionate and child-focused., • Resilient and able to manage challenging situations., • Motivational leader who models professionalism and integrity.
