What You’ll be Doing As the Passive Fire Surveyor/Supervisor, your responsibilities include: Surveying fire doors, passive fire stopping, and compartmentation lines within social housing, MOD, healthcare, care homes, and educational settings, such as schools, colleges and universities. Supervising, guiding, and providing advice to fire door and fire stopping teams Covering the Yorkshire region. Working both as part of a team and independently Troubleshooting issues and rectifying them to compliant standards and best practice, including adjusting closers, changing locks, and replacing FR letterboxes Recording all surveys on the supplied iPad using the PlanRadar application (training provided) About You To excel as a Passive Fire Surveyor/Supervisor, you should have: Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a fire door and fire stopping surveyor Background as a fire door installer or fire stopper (preferred) Strong knowledge of passive fire protection regulations and certification Basic IT competency Familiarity with FIRAS and/or BM TRADA certification schemes (preferred) Experience with fire evidence-based apps such as PlanRadar, Bolster, CCS Systems, Site Audit Pro, etc. (training provided if required) Polite, friendly, flexible, can-do attitude Strong team player, with ability to work independently as needed Strong interest in fire safety and willingness to take on new challenges Clean driving licence Small basic toolkit including hand tools and battery drill/driver SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred) An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check will be carried out. This role involves practical, hands-on work and requires a good level of mobility and manual dexterity. You may at times be required to work at height, in confined spaces, or on uneven ground, and to use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
