Medical Advisor (Medical Affairs Lead), Dermatology and Immunology Location : Toronto, Ontario or Montreal, Quebec Job Summary The Medical Advisor (Medical Affairs Lead) in Therapeutic Dermatology & Immunology plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful medical, scientific, and strategic execution of Galderma’s prescription and biologic portfolio including nemolizumab and future dermatology assets. This position bridges science, clinical practice, and strategy, ensuring that all medical affairs activities are grounded in robust evidence, regulatory compliance, and aligned with Galderma’s mission to advance dermatology for every skin story. Key Responsibilities Scientific and Clinical Leadership • Acts as the primary medical and scientific expert for Galderma’s therapeutic dermatology and immunology portfolio, providing deep expertise in diseases such as atopic dermatitis (AD), prurigo nodularis (PN), rosacea, and acne., • Translates complex clinical and immunological data into meaningful insights and clear communication for both internal teams and external stakeholders., • Supports the launch and lifecycle management of biologics and prescription products through evidence-based strategies and medical excellence. Medical Strategy and Cross-Functional Integration • Leads creation and execution of the Canadian Medical Affairs plan for immuno-dermatology in close collaboration with commercial, market access, regulatory, and Global/Regional Medical teams., • Ensures strategic alignment with global medical priorities while tailoring execution to the Canadian market landscape and stakeholder needs., • Drives scientific differentiation in competitive markets through data-driven narratives, publications, and educational initiatives . Scientific Exchange and KOL Engagement • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and scientific societies to establish Galderma as a trusted leader in specialty dermatology., • Leads advisory boards, scientific roundtables, and medical education events to gather insights, co-create value, and shape clinical practice., • Serves as a credible scientific counterpart to thought leaders, payers, and academic researchers. Evidence Generation and Data Strategy • Identifies data gaps and clinical questions relevant to Canadian practice and drives investigator-initiated trials (IITs), real-world evidence (RWE) studies, and post-hoc analyses to address them., • Partners with global teams to support local evidence dissemination and publications that strengthen product differentiation and reimbursement value stories. Compliance and Scientific Governance • Ensures that all external and internal communications, activities, and materials comply with Health Canada regulations and internal governance standards., • Acts as a medical reviewer and signatory for promotional and educational materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and ethical standards. Insight Generation and Strategic Decision Support • Captures, analyzes, and synthesizes medical insights from HCPs, congresses, and field activities to inform brand strategies, pipeline development, and future launches., • Provides medical input into market access dossiers, payer value stories, and patient support program design. Skills & Qualifications • Medical Degree or MSc, Pharm.D PhD degree in health sciences, • Experience in Dermatology, Immunology and Biologics essential, • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical Industry, • Understanding of commercial context, possibly from prior clinical trial/medical affairs experience, • Understanding of local healthcare environment, • Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels, including senior KOLs/KTLs, • Strong interpersonal skills, • Innovative and strategic thinking, • Meeting, planning and facilitation skills and ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms, • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset, • Travel required 30%, • Some activities may call for early or late meetings and attendances at scientific meetings on holidays and weekends.
