This internship is designed for students or early-career professionals interested in the intersection of marketing, sales development, CRM strategy, and audience engagement. The intern will gain hands-on experience using platforms such as HubSpot, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo while learning how marketing automation, audience segmentation, buyer personas, and engagement analytics contribute to business growth. This role offers exposure to modern business development strategies, consultative selling practices, and integrated marketing tactics within a collaborative agency environment. Position Details Prospect Engagement & CRM Support Support the business development team by identifying prospect engagement activity and helping maintain organized follow-up processes. Responsibilities include: • Monitor HubSpot activity notifications, including email opens, clicks, downloads, website visits, and repeat engagement, • Review LinkedIn engagement activity related to Streamworks content and identify potential prospect interest, • Identify and flag high-interest prospects based on engagement behavior and buying signals, • Create follow-up tasks and reminders for business development staff within HubSpot, • Assign priority levels to prospects based on engagement and organizational fit, • Maintain organized daily and weekly prospect activity reports, • Document engagement notes and interaction summaries within CRM systems, • Monitor conference attendee engagement and post-event activity Prospect Research & Account Development Assist with researching and developing target account opportunities using ZoomInfo and related prospecting tools. Responsibilities include: • Identify new prospect organizations within target industries using ZoomInfo, • Build target account lists based on industry, organization size, geography, and service focus, • Research organizational structures, leadership teams, and recent business activity, • Identify key decision makers and verify contact information, • Monitor company news, leadership changes, expansions, and growth indicators that may create opportunities, • Build and maintain prospect and account profiles within HubSpot, • Identify organizations similar to existing Streamworks clients, • Prepare prospect research summaries prior to outreach efforts or meetings, • Cross-reference HubSpot engagement data with ZoomInfo research to identify warm prospects, • Assist in prioritizing accounts based on engagement levels and opportunity potential Outreach & Marketing Support Support introductory outreach and follow-up efforts under the guidance of the business development team. Responsibilities include: • Draft introductory outreach emails for review and approval, • Assist with email automation workflows and follow-up sequences within HubSpot, • Send approved LinkedIn connection requests and follow-up messages, • Prepare follow-up communication after conferences, meetings, or prospect interactions, • Assist with scheduling introductory meetings and discovery calls, • Conduct low-risk re-engagement outreach after training and approval, • Maintain accurate outreach activity records and response tracking, • Support social media posting and engagement monitoring efforts Professional Development & Sales Exposure Develop foundational consultative selling and growth-marketing skills while gaining exposure to business-development strategy. Responsibilities include: • Shadow business development calls and prospect meetings, • Learn consultative questioning techniques focused on uncovering organizational needs and challenges, • Apply audience persona and segmentation strategies to outreach and engagement efforts, • Analyze engagement metrics and activity trends to help determine recommended next steps, • Demonstrate professionalism, organization, communication skills, and follow-through, • Show initiative in identifying patterns, opportunities, and process improvements, • Build knowledge of Streamworks services, industries, and client challenges What You’ll Gain • Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM and marketing automation tools, • Exposure to modern lead generation and business development strategies, • Experience applying audience personas and segmentation theory in real-world campaigns, • Understanding of engagement analytics and prospect behavior tracking, • Professional experience working within an integrated marketing and business development environment, • Mentorship from experienced marketing and strategy professionals Qualifications • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sales, Advertising, Public Relations, or related field, • Interest in business development, sales strategy, marketing automation, and lead generation, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, • Comfortable learning new technology platforms and CRM systems, • Analytical mindset with interest in engagement metrics and prospect behavior, • Familiarity with LinkedIn and professional communication practices preferred, • Experience with HubSpot, ZoomInfo, or marketing automation tools is a plus but not required Additional Information • Internship schedule is 30 hours per week between June 1, 2026 and August 20, 2026, • The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, • Compensation is $20 per hour, • Candidate must successfully pass a background check prior to employment, • Office environment with standard lighting and climate control, • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, • Occasional exposure to production floor environment when supporting recruiting, onboarding, or badge photo activities Streamworks is an equal opportunity employer.
