Job Description Description The Manager of Family and Community service position is responsible for oversight of case management for the Ramsey County Parental Support Outreach Program (PSOP/CWTCM billing) and Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative and the At home parenting education program (AHPEP). The Program Supervisor will also carry a small caseload (5-7 CASES) of parent and family engagement services for families referred by or to Ramsey County Family and Community Partnership Program/ Parental Support Outreach program (PSOP). The focus is on implementation/oversight of ongoing case management services using the initial Parent Support Outreach Plan (PSOP); developing and implementing resources and referrals to support PSOP; and engagement and involvement of parents/families through home visiting, crisis intervention, Merrick and community events, workshops and activities. The Program Supervisor will also strive to maintain a positive and supportive relationship with parents and families. The Program Supervisor will also assist Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative with resources and support for family plan development. This position reports to the Director of Program. This position is directly responsible for the supervision of the above-mentioned programs and its staff. Responsibilities: • Monitor program content, attendance information, and data to ensure accurate billing/invoicing., • Plan, develop, direct, and assist in expanding programs to improve the experience of the participants., • Write, review, and implement organizational policies/standard operating procedures for programs., • Monitor and support submission of grant reports (quarterly/final, as required) and compliance with deliverables., • Support participants receiving services and fostering teamwork; developing and maintaining strength-based relationships with parents/families referred to in the program(s)., • Investigate participant grievances via phone calls or emails., • Meet monthly with Ramsey County Social Worker, Program Coordinator or other Ramsey County staff, consultant with Ramsey County staff regarding emergency financial management, emergency contact updates, and other unresolved client concerns, as well as attend all quarterly meetings and SRFC “One Team” meetings., • Attend all Merrick’s meetings and events as scheduled, • Perform other duties as assigned Management • Manage daily operations of the program including assisting with hiring, performance management, coaching, training and the recommendation of disciplinary action(s) and approve bi-weekly timesheets; provide weekly/bi-weekly 1:1 check-in with direct service staff and provide monthly case consultation meetings., • Develop and maintain effective and positive community partnerships and collaborations., • Maintain accurate case notes, client records, and database to meet the standard for monthly case notes, case reporting and financial billing for the Ramsey County Family and Community Partnership Program., • Equitably assign and manage incoming cases from Ramsey County for PSOP/CWTCM caseloads and billing purposes., • Perform monthly billing for PSOP/CWTCM in conjunction with MCS finance department., • Assist Director of Programs with employee evaluations and performance management; supporting direct service staff to help them meet objectives, attain goals, and identify opportunities and/or barriers related to job performance., • Supervise program staff of Parental Support outreach, Suburban Ramsey Family collaborative, Homework starts with home, In-home parenting program., • Take lead on special agency events: Backpack distribution (August) and Toy Distribution (December), • Willingness to learn to work with Ramsey County SSIS, and Client Track database., • Participate in MCS fundraising events. Qualifications • Requires a minimum of a Masters’s degree with a focus on social and human services, social work, family services or a related field of study or a combination of training and experience providing equivalent knowledge; bachelor’s degree required., • Successful experience as a case worker and working with the County’s system is a plus., • Proven experience working effectively with a population that is diverse, inclusive, and socio-economically challenged., • Knowledge of other community services that are available through networking., • Must be strength-based, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Ability to deal with challenging situations in a calm, fair but effective and professional manner., • Ability to model respectful, inclusive, and responsible behavior that is consistent with the agency mission, vision, and values, • Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality, • Cooperative team member who can work independently, • Strong computer skills in the use of MS Office 365 Suite, • Experience with county SSIS, ClientTrack, and MNITS or demonstrated ability to learn database and client tracking services, • Maintain databases, management and tracking systems, based on intake forms, PSOP/CWTCM, and the requirements of funders and Merrick Community Services, • This position requires a valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle to travel locally.
