Position Summary Corbett-Steeves Pattern Works and Tele-Lite are looking for a part-time Bookkeeper and Office Assistant to help keep our business running smoothly. We're looking for someone who enjoys organization, values accuracy, and takes pride in their work. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable / Receivable: • Process vendor invoices and customer payments with proper coding and cost allocation., • Match purchase orders and packing slips to invoices before entry into Sage Accounting., • Manage payments by check, online, or credit card, ensuring accuracy and timeliness., • Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances., • Balance vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed. Banking & Reconciliation: • Record deposits, transfers, and online payments in Sage., • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation., • Maintain accurate records for multiple business entities. Financial Reporting & Compliance: • Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries for management review., • Assist with sales tax filings, insurance audits, and other financial documentation., • Support continuous improvement of financial processes and efficiency. Administrative Support: • Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems for financial records., • Order office supplies and provide general administrative support., • Answer occasional customer calls and emails in a professional manner., • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, AP/AR or accounting, and office administration., • Proficiency in Sage Accounting and Microsoft Office Suite., • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills., • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion. Preferred Skills • Experience with multi-entity accounting, • Familiarity with business management systems and online payment portals., • Strong analytical skills and ability to generate clear, actionable financial reports. Work Environment: This position is based at the Corbett-Steeves Pattern Works office with adequate workspace, lighting, ventilation, and comfortable temperatures. Physical Demands: Primarily office-based with regular computer and phone use and occasional lifting of light office materials (up to 25 lbs).
