Salary: $81,479 - 110,902 per year Requirements: • I require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience., • Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNA/CCDA/CCNP with Wireless specialties and certifications from other equivalent network and wireless vendors., • I seek candidates with at least 3 years of experience within the past decade working in a multi-network, multi-protocol enterprise environment., • You should have over 3 years of experience with Cisco IOS and hardware, specifically with the following Cisco devices:, • 2800, 2900, 3900, 4451x, ASR 1001 series routers, • 2950, 2960/S/X, 3560/X, 3750/X, 4500 series catalyst switches, • 2500, 4400, 5800, 5520 series Wireless LAN Controllers, • 1130-3500, 1600-3600, 1700-3700, 1800-4800 series autonomous and LWAP/CWAP access points, • You must also have over 3 years of experience in implementing Wireless (WiFi) 802.11a/b/g/n technologies with vendors like Cisco/Meraki, Ruckus, HP/Aruba, and Extreme Networks., • Experience with Cisco ACS, Prime/WCS, Solarwinds products, or other network monitoring tools is preferred., • I look for demonstrated proficiency in areas such as Routing and Switching, Security, Wireless, and Video/Voice., • You should possess strong verbal and written communication skills to influence management, develop technical documentation, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders., • The ability to analyze network performance data to identify trends and issues is essential, along with supporting recommendations for modifications or upgrades to network services., • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in listening and questioning, are important., • I require your availability for on-call duties for level 3 escalation, which necessitates being on standby 24/7., • You must uphold Encore’s core principles of Hospitality, Responsiveness, Ownership, and Professionalism. Responsibilities:, • I need you to coordinate Internet Services (IS) project responsibilities, which will include project organization, technical design, logistics communication, and execution alongside partners, contractors, and project managers., • You will need to follow and uphold design and wireless best practices for surveying, installations, and event usage, while regularly reviewing documentation and adapting to new guidelines., • Your tasks will involve conducting both onsite and remote technical projects, such as:, • Network infrastructure surveys and deliverable documentation, • Network and/or upgrade designs according to Encore and industry standards or specific requests, • Network infrastructure installations and required operational documentation, • Providing event engineering and support as needed, • Delivering technical training to both internal and external users on network systems and application capabilities when necessary., • You will act as the technical design lead and level three support for internal network engineers and event managers, assisting field staff, clients, and guest room support teams., • Consulting with users on event and network needs, including pre-sales discovery and support, will also be part of your role., • I expect you to develop and implement best practices for network management and maintenance for our clients, and to prepare proposals for hardware, software, and professional services as needed., • Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting solutions to prospective clients based on their specific requirements, ensuring to highlight our key differentiators., • Monitoring and analyzing network performance while adhering to departmental standards and service level agreements (SLA) will be crucial., • You’ll proactively identify potential issues within the network and lead remediation efforts, following incident response procedures and providing reports and escalation information to stakeholders., • Finally, you will serve as the third-tier support for the Network Operations Center, addressing routers, switches, access points, wireless controllers, VoIP services, and network management systems for both WAN and LAN.
