Job DescriptionYour Role: Operate a food packing production line at a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) site. Maintain production area cleanliness and uphold workplace and food safety compliance. Complete assigned production tasks within a specified production schedule. Check for quality of finished product and prepare for shipment. Pay, Schedule & Benefits: • This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position. Guaranteed one day per week with additional hours depending on team needs (covering pre-planned PTO for team members 70-80% of the time and covering call offs 60-70% of the time). The guaranteed one day of the week can be discussed to align with team and candidate needs, as applicable., • Starting pay range is between $19-$20 per hour., • Attend required meetings and trainings., • Perform routine and repetitive packaging of food product, equipment operations and other tasks of the production line., • Keep machine equipment processes moving. Troubleshoot as needed. Understand and maintain the production schedule., • Uphold food safety, food quality and workplace safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all SSOPs, GMPs and personal hygiene related to food products., • Complete daily start-up activities. Prepare equipment, ingredients and materials for packing process., • Complete end-of-shift clean-up of equipment and production space., • Complete accurate records of production output, scrap, material usage and labor hours., • Prepare food product for shipment, including repackaging as needed, boxing and palletizing., • Check for quality of finished product. Identify, inspect and report product quality issues., • Follow equipment standard operating procedures., • Operate pallet jack to organize, load and unload ingredients and finished product as needed (training provided.) May be trained to operate industrial powered forklift., • Perform other duties as assigned. Responsible and able to use good judgment and discretion., • Thrives in a team setting. Able to pitch in, fill in gaps, remain flexible, ask for help and share responsibilities.Physical Requirements:, • Able to exert yourself physically for an 8 hour shift. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Machine Operator is a critical role that will be responsible for operating the embroidery, laser etching, and/or engraving equipment to create premium products for our customers. The Machine Operator will ensure the highest quality customization of our products, enhancing brand value and customer satisfaction through precision and attention to detail. This is a seasonal opportunity, hiring now and with an estimated completion date in December/January based on business and operational need.
