Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Supervisor Job Description Currently seeking multiple candidates to perform shipping and receiving functions for an Aerospace manufacturing company. The position focuses on domestic and international shipments using FedEx and UPS systems, accurate data entry, and safe material handling within a warehouse environment. Responsibilities • Coordinate and execute domestic and international shipments using FedEx and UPS platforms, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate., • Perform hands-on shipping and receiving tasks when needed, including picking, packing, labeling, and preparing pallets for shipment., • Receive and process inventory, including unloading, verifying, and documenting incoming materials and purchase orders., • Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and store materials safely and efficiently., • Ensure accurate data entry into SAP or related systems for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions., • Monitor and maintain shipping and receiving records, including tracking numbers, packing lists, and related documentation., • Support inventory control activities by helping to organize stock, identify discrepancies, and maintain orderly storage areas., • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve shipping, receiving, or documentation issues in a timely manner., • At least 1 years of hands-on FedEx or similar expereince., • Proficiency using a computer for daily tasks, including data entry and documentation., • Ability to use FedEx and UPS software for processing shipments and generating labels., • Experience with pallet preparation and handling for outbound shipments., • Experience with shipping, receiving, and basic logistics processes., • Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently., • Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for shipping and receiving transactions., • Previous experience as a receiver or in a similar warehouse role., • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously., • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments. The role offers the stability of a defined second-shift schedule and the opportunity to work with established systems and processes, including well-known shipping platforms and ERP tools. You gain valuable experience in both domestic and international logistics while working in a professional, safety-conscious environment that values accuracy, reliability, and teamwork. Work Environment This position is based in an on-site warehouse environment within a larger Manufacturing facility. You work on a 2nd shift schedule from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role involves frequent movement around the warehouse, including operating a sit-down forklift, handling pallets, and managing incoming and outgoing materials. You regularly use computers, SAP or similar systems, and FedEx and UPS software to process shipments and maintain records. The environment is fast-paced and process-driven, with a focus on safety, organization, and efficient material flow Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of East Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.66 - $21.66/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
