Overall Job Description The Legal Consultant will play a central role in the delivery of professional services to law firms, corporate clients, and individual clients. The position is responsible for managing client onboarding, attending client meetings, and providing high-quality legal administrative and documentation support. The Legal Consultant will act as the primary point of contact for client matters, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and timely delivery of all services. This role supports the operational foundation of the business by helping clients navigate their legal documentation needs, coordinating ongoing casework support, and maintaining strong client relationships. The consultant will also provide specialised service delivery for criminal-law clients by assisting with police station attendance and preparing relevant documentation as needed. Key Responsibilities • Managing the full client onboarding process, including compliance checks, document collection, and initial consultations., • Delivering high-quality legal administrative support to law firms and private clients, including drafting letters, preparing documents, and coordinating case-related materials., • Attending client meetings, including consultations, corporate briefings, and criminal case attendances where required., • Assisting with the preparation of document bundles, case files, and litigation-related support materials., • Ensuring all documentation produced meets professional standards, internal policies, and client expectations., • Liaising with solicitors, corporate stakeholders, and individual clients to ensure smooth service delivery., • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant procedures, compliance requirements, and legal-support best practices., • Supporting internal workflow processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives., • Providing prison representation or police station attendance services under supervision from law firms when required. Day-to-Day Activities • Conducting new client intake, verifying identity documents, and completing onboarding forms., • Drafting correspondence, preparing documentation, and updating client files., • Attending scheduled client meetings, taking notes, and coordinating follow-up actions., • Preparing bundles, legal forms, and supporting paperwork for ongoing cases., • Communicating with clients via email, phone, and in-person to gather information or provide updates., • Coordinating tasks with solicitors to ensure deadlines are met., • Logging activities and completed work within the company’s case-management system., • Reviewing client instructions and preparing documents for review before delivery., • Assisting senior consultants, the director, or law-firm partners with ongoing matters.
