We’re looking for a proactive Quality, Risk & Compliance Coordinator to provide essential support across the Governance, Risk and Compliance function. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across governance, risk and compliance activities and teams to support the effective operation of the function and will help the organisation deliver safe and effective care to patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in supporting one the following areas but wants to build broad experience across complaints handling, data protection, regulatory compliance, risk management and corporate governance. Working closely with the Risk Director and specialist leads, you will help coordinate key processes, maintain documentation, support audit and assurance activities, and ensure high-quality information flows across the organisation. You will play an important role in helping the company maintain strong standards of safety, transparency and accountability. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience across governance, risk and compliance while contributing to the company’s commitment to safe, high-quality and accountable services. You will be reporting to the Quality, Risk and Compliance Manager. To be considered for the the role you will require the following: Essential Criteria; EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths EXPERIENCE • Experience in a governance, compliance, quality, data protection or administrative role within a regulated environment KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to handle confidential information and work with integrity, • Good analytical skills, able to interpret information and identify trends, • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, • Strong writing skills for preparing reports, summaries and governance documents, • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Desirable; EDUCATION AND TRAINING • Relevant training or qualifications (e.g. ISOs, data protection or quality management) EXPERIENCE • Experience in healthcare, social care or another regulated setting, • Experience of dealing with patients, their relatives or carers KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS • Knowledge of risk management frameworks, data protection, complaints handling or internal audit processes, • Interest in governance, risk or compliance career development Within this position, you will mainly be; Governance and Reporting • Support the preparation of governance papers, reports, dashboards and meeting packs for meetings across the team, • Maintain action logs and track progress against agreed governance and compliance activities, • Assist with coordinating committees, meetings and reviews, ensuring accurate minutes and follow-up Risk Management • Support the operation of the risk management framework, including maintaining risk registers and monitoring controls, • Help gather and analyse risk information from across teams and escalate issues where required, • Assist with incident reporting, trend analysis and learning logs Compliance and Audit • Help deliver internal audits, compliance checks and monitoring activities, • Support maintenance of policies, procedures and standards, ensuring they remain up-to-date and properly documented, • Work with teams to track completion of actions, improvements or corrective actions (CAPAs) Data Protection • Assist the Data Protection Team with administrative tasks, including logging Subject Access Requests (SARs), Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data breach logs and supporting information compliance and assurance activities, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and support awareness and engagement activities relating to data protection and information security, promoting a positive compliance culture across the business Complaints • Support the complaints management process by logging complaints, maintaining trackers and monitoring progress of investigations, • Monitor complaint response timelines and follow up with investigation leads where required., • Assist with the preparation of complaint summaries, reports and analysis to support quality improvement and organisational learning, • Support the identification of themes, trends and learning across governance activities to inform service improvement and organisational learning, • Provide cover during periods of Complaints Manager absence, ensuring complaints continue to be progressed in line with instructions and company requirements Team Support • Provide executive assistant support to the Risk Director and support the Governance, Risk & Compliance team, helping streamline processes and maintain high quality records, • Provide administrative and project support across complaints, data protection, compliance, governance and risk workstreams, • Support internal communication and training activities, • Work collaboratively with the Executive Assistant team, • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Governance Administrator and provide cross-cover during absence, • Work collaboratively with operational and clinical teams to support good governance practices and promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
