Position: Cost Engineer Location: Aberdeen Work Pattern: Contract (Outside IR35) - Hybrid We’re looking for a Project Cost Engineer to join a Project Controls team in Aberdeen. In this role, you’ll support project delivery by managing cost tracking, forecasting, billing, and financial reporting across the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities • Maintain and update project cost trackers and forecasts, • Manage variation order (VO) tracking, approvals, and documentation, • Support timesheet reviews and cost allocation, • Coordinate billing requests, invoice approvals, and PO tracking, • Analyse cost performance and support project financial reporting, • Liaise with internal teams and clients to resolve cost and billing queries Qualifications • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project cost engineering or project cost control, • Experience managing project costs and reporting across the project lifecycle, • Strong Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.), • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, • Experience with project controls systems (e.g., Primavera P6, ERP tools) is beneficial, • Experience in Oil and Gas, Offshore or Subsea industries This is a great opportunity for someone with strong cost control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment.
